The room bedding was changed and clean towels provided. The food at breakfast was fine. The staff was welcoming.

Suggestion, cleaners should try and reach out your beautiful wooden architraves - dusting at least once a week.

I loved the outside seating area, aswell as the whole set up of the hotel.

I didn't like the fact that my mobile phone hardly had any network coverage when I was in the room. The waiters need to have urgency in delivery of service.

This is the hotel to be while in Durban. Great place wonderful manager and sweet staffers. Wld really love to come again and again.

The one room didnt have a mini fridge. Our room the airconditioner was not working.

Poor maintenance of facility eg small,noisy lift,musty-smelling floor rugs and chipped bathroom tiles.

The location, nice and quiet, it also had an nice deco.

The staff not flexible in terms of checking in time, I was there at 13:20, and they only allowed me into the room at 14:00,had to sleep at couches while waiting to be checked in...

The elevator, is small and when it stops on the floor you are going to it stops with a rough thud. The breakfast i found to be very oily and the beacon was fried to dry

Location worryingly dark areas around hotel(do not feel safe walking esp at night) Needs a little maintance on gardens and walls paint, lights in parking, carpets were a bit worn.

I found the service and facilities very disappointing and appalling. We had arrived at the hotel at 12pm to check in which we informed on the website that it was the correct checking in time, only to be told checking is at 2pm ,when we came back at 2pm we were informed that our room was yet stilll not ready,after 15minutes we were shown to our room. On the website we were ensured that there would be a hairdryer and refrigerator which was one of the reasons we chose durban manor amongst other hotels, included in the package of the room.We arrived to a room without a refrigerator neither was there a hair dyer when we inquired about the hair dryer we were told we would have to pay another fee to use it,this was a shock as we were told it was included in our package.The refrigerator was promised later on during the day but even untill the day we left we were not given one to use or any feedback concerning it, We were told to use the bar downstairs which inconvienced us on our holiday walking up and down ,when I had came to the hotel to relax.The room service took almost a hour to arrive with our cold food aswell as the staff were not friendly neither did they greet or explain any events. On our departure, there was still an misunderstanding about payment even thought I had receipts to show payment approved, I found this hotel unprofessional, unorganized and had a lot of false advertising concerning their details and facilities.I would never consider returning there neither would I recommend it .

It is totally value for money,it was better that I anticipated really I will be staying the again in future.

I didn't get any sleep due to the person inthe next room Snoring their head off. When I tried to ask for late checkout of extra 2hours I was told to pay full amount.I didn't appreciate that very much especially because the walls are so thin.plus I had to drive back to johannesburg that morning. I had to pull up at a garages to take power naps because I was too tired from not getting any sleep.

I liked the comfort of the room, the air-conditioning was perfect, zero noise levels coming from outside, very clean and well maintained establishment, parking was secure and safe

The elevator in the building is a bit scary , when arriving on the correct floor it jerks dangerously

This is a typical old type Hotel which we dont see very often anymore. Wow, I was amazed at the size of the room and the bathroom.And I was very impressed with the old type of furniture especially in the pause areas. Very interesting...

The location of the hotel and the room was clean.

Breakfast was horrible. Access to the hotel itself is not conducive. It took a long time too make up the rooms.

The bathroom was a disaster, no hot water, the shower was ancient

The staff were friendly the style of the place is old but very tastefull I liked the atmosfear a lot ill defenatly stay there again

The night shift gaurd was walking every were else instead of watching the cars and there are a lot of street kids wondering around near by there I kept coming down to check on my car till they finally locked all the gates then I could finally relax and go sleep

Location & price.

We asked for seafacing Twin room since it was two men. We got courtyard facing with a double bed even though they assured me over the phone and at reception that it was a twin room.

I paid for an airconditioned room & got a room with a fan. The room was so hot and had mosquitoes so we didnt have a good nights sleep.
