A beautifull, very small boutique hotel, feels more like bed and breakfast. The hotel and rooms are filled with antique furniture; the hotel is decorated with incredible attention to detail. If one likes antiques and history, it's a real joy to stay.
The hotel is really small so, obviously, there is no gym, business center, or a restaurant. If one needs those, Hilton nearby is a better choice
Comfortable bed, good bathroom, excellent staff
Location is not conducive to going out at night, unless you eant backpacker food/bars. However, cabs are cheap and take 5 minutes to come. Walk by day only.
The hotel is in a beautiful heritage building with a matching interior. It felt like I was staying in a museum. The location is convenient and the staff is friendly.
The free wifi hardly worked in my room.
The hotel is very nice, with great furniture and a nice atmosphere. The staff is friendly and tried very hard to make us feel comfortable. The hotel is very close to Long Street, with its many bars and restaurant.
The hotel is on an extremely noisy street. The two rooms on the ground floor face the reception, which makes them extra noisy. The rooms upstairs are somewhat better, especially the one at the back. Double beds are very small for two people. Breakfast was average. The staff at times seemed to be not very experienced in running an hotel.
I certainly like the "OLD" look. I could dream of a time that I would have loved in a home like that.
Room may be slightly small or overcrowded with this majestic furniture. There were very little room to maneuver myself in e.g. to watch TV.
Staff very accommodating Nice Ambiance
Very quaint hotel and enjoyed my stay there - thank you!
We wanted to find a hotel which would not be at the V & A Waterfront but still within walking distant from Long Street. This hotel was the perfect choice, we really recommend it if you don't feel like staying at the Waterfront. The hotel was lovely decorated and we really liked the atmosphere with antique furniture etc. Add to this very friendly a staff and a tasty breakfast - our stay was perfect and I would definitely stay in this hotel again.
Beautiful original antique furniture. Good location in the city centre in a beautiful old historic house. Friendly staff. Value for money. Save parking.
The beds were a bit uncomfortable.
The staff were exceptional. Very friendly. A home from home.
A little hard to find but not a criticism. Just a tip to maybe look it up on a map before you travel.
We were allocated a ground floor room which I was not too happy with, after mentioning it to Nobu at reception she went out of her way to arrange another room and get it ready for us. She was very polite and professional, an asset to the hotel. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Two of the rooms available are on the ground floor very close to reception and the front door of the hotel
Beautiful antique furniture throughout. A very clean hotel and friendly staff. Each room was very unique and had a four poster bed which felt very special. A very pleasant stay for the money.
Although the hotel was in a central location to Cape Town, the hotel itself was situated in a poor area with homeless people outside regularly. It was slightly intimidating but would not stop me from staying there again.
Exceptionally comfortable sleeping.
The anitique furniture that still adds a liveable air. The four poster bed I had to jump into and the Charlotte Rhys tolietries are such a treat.
Initially put off by joint dining room table for breakfast, as I'm not a particulalry good morning person, but met an amazing duo travelling through Cape Town and we ended up exchanging business cards.
