The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing was too big or too small for them and they are an asset to the hotel. I found the room smaller than I expected, given that it was a luxury room.

I loved the small hotel feel and the fact that all the staff took an interest in your welfare and assisted in getting you to places you needed to be. Provided advice and allowed you to also have the space and time you needed to wind down and relax. The room close to the dining room where a little noisy.

Very friendly staff - very attentive indeed. Gorgeous breakfast Luxurious rooms - It is recommended to reconfirm transfer arrangements and payment instructions as per requests - no Bellboy or concierge to assist with luggage - lots of steps to climb from street level to the upper rooms.

The hotel was modern very clean, staff very helpful. It is walking distance from V&A Waterfront and the beach. The roads are quite steep and narrow around the hotel there is limited car parking, we hired a Kia Sportage it was ideal for mountain roads but for the area near DysArt you will be better with a small car and you can park it in their garage. We got a parking ticket,so be careful how you park your car do not copy how the residents park, there are different rules for tourists.

Nice room, bathroom was gorgeous. Double bed was 2 singles pushed together with 2 single duvets. No wifi in room as advertised. Very poor service at breakfast and poor selection compared to other places we stayed. The chef served us breakfast, didn't clear dishes and spent time talking on phone trying to fix pool lights while we reset our own breakfast table inside as it was too hot outside . Carried our own cases up the steep stairs on arrival and down on departure . There was a lot of dirt in the bottom of the pool which had obviously blown in from a nearby plant pot, we stayed 3 nights and the pool was not cleaned at anytime in this period. We asked for an iron on arrival, we were told to ask again later, no idea why! When we asked later we were sent to the staff ironing room in the basement with the staff. The robes in the room would only fit a 5 year old and no slippers. Tv in room was tiny. I was looking forward to a 5 star luxury stay at the end of our holiday, was totally disappointed. The concierge that arrived in the evening was dressed in a football top and baseball hat, hardly 5 star. This place is basically a 3 star b@b not a Boutique hotel. There are much nicer places to stay in Cape Town.

We loved our experience. The hotel caters to a small number of guests. Fantastic service and wonderful breakfast included each morning. 3 blocks from waterfront. We walked back and forth to V & A waterfront and promenade. We could have happily spent a full week here. We recommend the 2 day red/blue bus pass. It will take you to all the major sites very easily. It was great. It might be nice to have a guest computer available.

The staff was absolutely amazing and their customer service skills where second to none! Their friendliness made the whole stay at DysArt very nice. Breakfast was amazing and the rooms are lovely. The only thing to mention is that the wifi didn't work in the room we were in and when I mentioned it, the staff said that they were aware that room 5 does not have wifi in the room and that they had let the owners know. As the hotel is advertising "wifi in your room" I think it is important that this is sorted out as I ended up having to stand outside the door to my room in order to connect to wifi which was not so good.

The very friendly staff who greeted us on our arrival.Their friendly faces were very welcome after a very tiring journey from the uk. A lovely bright decor with interesting art work. Everything that has been said from these previous reviews is absolutely true The walking time to the waterfront is longer than anticipated

The genial staff are always reminding you that service is the most important aspect of this very special guest house and they are not joking. More like a boutique hotel than guest house in appearance and comfort but very much a personal 'guest house' experience when you stay here. The staff almost trip over themselves to help you plan your day or get you anything you need, without being in your face. They know when to draw the line and leave you alone. I don’t think our Cape town experience would have been half as good if it were not for staying at this amazing little gem, within walking distance of the V&A and great restaurants and bars.

Our stay at this both stylish and cosy hotel was wonderful. Our room was spacious with lovely wooden flooring, big bathrooms (fantastic showers!) and outdoor space. The individually selected artwork makes the place look really special. The breakfast buffet was simply amazing (especially the fruits) and the coffee was great. The staff were very helpful without ever being "too much", and we valued greatly their advice concerning day trips, restaurants and shops. Our stay in Cape Town could not have been better. Thank you Lo, Peter, and Frank for an incredible time! Caroline and Francis from Germany / England

Excellent breakfast, lovely, well thought-out room, all the things you could want in a hotel. But what I liked the most was the genuine interest shown by the staff in what I hoped to experience during in my stay in Cape Town - and indeed the rest of southern Africa. Their excellent, relevant recommendations for great restaurants, day trips of all sorts, shopping and even safari have made this trip into my Dream Holiday. ...Plus swimming with a crocodile... :-)

We had a great stay at the Dysart. Everyone was helpfull and friendly, from the owner to the kitchen staff. Peter the owner gave us some good suggestions of where to eat and sights to see. The location was excellent and the standard of facilities very good. We found that there was a real family atmosphere about the place and would recommend a stay there without hesitation.

We liked the staff and their welcoming manor. The room was beautiful with a gorgeous en-suite shower room. It was warm and comfortable with an excellent choice of drinks in the mini bar and tv channels. The deck outside is lovely and we were lucky to have a room overlooking it. The location was perfect and was within walking distance of the beautiful waterfront. The breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of food. The hotel felt very safe with a locked gate outside, a safety deposit box and a garage to park our car. We liked everything.

Hotel muito confortavel, quarto espaçoso, elegantemente decorado e pequeno. Hotel design/ boutique.
