Excellent dinner and breakfast - superbly cooked and presented. Wines reasonably priced
Waiting for the hot water to arrive and then was not very hot !!!
We loved the view and the staff was very friendly. Room was very neat and clean.
There where no bubble bath for bathing. Menu is a bit dull, I think a dish of the day everyday will work wonders.
Friendly welcoming staff, clean and tidy recreational areas, fantastic food.
Everything the facilities ,the garden, nature and horses!!
The room was small and dark. I wanted to stay in a cabin (as I had done on two previous occasions) but was told that I could not.
Charming place to stay. Wonderful scenery with opportunity to do horse riding. Staff friendly and helpful. Something to do for all ages. Rooms very comfortable. Visited twice and will definitely return.

Great location Beautiful gardens Excellent walks and facilities Friendly service
Lack of bench at major view site No news channel in English on TV - the only one was French! Very poor shower head Very slow service at meal times but it didn't matter as we were on holiday
Being in an hotel that reminded me of the 'old days' (1940/1960!) in SA. Got a nostalgic kick out of the place. There are very few of this kind of hotel left in SA - regrettably.
Almost everything, we know it well
Road noise when truck come down the mountain pass
The perace and quiet and history.
It was obviously out of season and not all staff were enthusiastic. The name of the hotel conjured up more of an in the mountain experience and not a start of a pass. Dissapointed with the position.
