Situated along the picturesque Cape Whale Coast Route, in the village of Kleinmond, Elephant Rock offers spacious accommodation with free Wi-Fi. The reception, ambiance and furnishings, specially the dining room was great. Beautifully restored old Police Station oozed charm. Bit disappointed in the size of the room but well furnished.

Booking a stay-over in an area not visited before comes with a sense of trepidation, as one never really knows what to expect until you get there. Having had bad experiences before, we were cautious about what was waiting for us at the end of a 1 500 km trip from Gauteng. Our fears were however unfounded as we were rewarded with a very nice surprise at the end of our journey! Elephant Rock Guest House caters for all the needs of the weary traveler in a quaint setting, with attention to every detail (especially interior design). It is very far away for a repeat visit, should we want to experience the charm of the place again ...

A lovely walk along the sea was only one block away and the guest house was a perfect starting point for visiting the Kogelberg Nature Reserve, the Harold Porter Botanical Garden and the penguin site at Stone Point.

Wir haben die 5 Nächte in diesem tollen Guesthouse in vollen Zügen genossen. Schönes Zimmer mit Terrasse (BEACH-Room), komfortabel, sehr sauber. Während unseres Aufenthaltes waren die Besitzer (Jacky und Jaku) persönlich anwesend. Wir wurden "wie zu Hause" sehr persönlich betreut. Jacky hat uns jeden Morgen mit einem ausserordentlich reichhaltigen und variantenreichem Frühstück verwöhnt. Alles 100 % positiv und nichts negatives zu erwähnen.

Décoration raffinée. Excellents petits déjeuners différents chaque jour. Gentillesse de notre hôtesse. Endroit absolument charmant. Je conseillerai cet endroit plutôt en été.

Unser Zimmer(mountain view) war geräumig und sehr schön möbliert. Salome ist eine sehr nette Gastgeberin. Der Frühstücksraum ist im afrikanischen Stil eingerichtet und es gibt einen geschützten Innenhof mit wunderschönen Pflanzen. Der Blick aus dem Zimmer war etwas eingeschränkt, aber sonst gibt es bei diesem B+B wirklich nichts zu bemängeln.
