This intimate, privately-owned lodge in Komatipoort, just 5 miles from Kruger Park and Croc Bridge Gate. It offers extensive activities. Mozambique is just 4 miles away.
Score from 102 reviews Excellent
very close to Kruger National Park (just 50 m to the Crocodile Bridge)
Poor (no) service. The forgot us for the check in although we arrive to the official check time (was around 6:15 pm) Nobody reacted when we were ringing the bell in front of the gate. We were wating quite long till by chance another care went out. We used the chance and entered quickly through the open gate which was quite dangerours. Inside they were quite surprised because they didn't cound on us to arrive. They gave us the key for the challet and just said "the chalet is over there, just drive back and you see it then on your left. We expecet to escort to the chalet. In the blanket I saw a big bug running in the bed which was quite degusting. Also for the check out, there was no stuff around. The location is good in case you want to enter without breakfast to Kruger Nat. Park. In case you need to eat you have to go back 8 km to Komatipoort to find a restaurant or for some food.
Looking at the water and seeing animals very soothing
Checking out time please extend to 11am
Pool could do with lights as to swim at night

This is a wonderful property with every possible amenity available. The owners Mike and Stephanie were wonderful, warm hosts making us feel at home and nothing was too much trouble for them. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Elephant Walk we especially loved the visit from the Elephants and Water Buffalo right out the front of our Bugalow. We highly recommend this property.
Everything was perfect!
Very nice and friendly people! Will recommend.
We really enjoyed the view. Such a beautiful place!
Loved how close we were to the Kruger and that the place is quiet and not "crowded"/noisy. Very well kept rooms and facilities. Great service, staff, and overall experience.
Not their fault - but 3 of u shared a room designed for a couple. Sleeper sofa was really uncomfortable.
Very spacious. Good sightings of animals from the room. Convenient to reach to the crocodile bridge gate.
There can be two bathrooms and toilets for the family 2 bedroom suite.
Very quiet and tranquil.
The proximity to Crocodile Bridge Gate, the setting, the cottage itself and the resident cat.
Shops and restaurants were 10kms away.
Amazing views on Kruger with Elephants bathing and eating. Truly Africa at its best! Nice swimmingpool, nice braai area, nice staff like Darryl, great accesibility from southern part of KNP.
We discovered an all African bush experience in our room during nightfall, rats... Staff did everything to get them out, but eventually did organize a night stay in a guesthouse nearby... Had to fumigate the room. We loved the place and appreciated the efforts but our experience was a bit clouded by the experience of being awaked by the noise of 2 rats who also like your sleeping room. After we left they would fumigate the whole place..
Location, right on the river next to the entrance to Kruger Park. The rustic feel of the accommodation. Decent facilities, could do with an upgrade of the kitchen facilities and utensils.
No breakfast or meal offerings, nearest restaurant or café is 10 km away. No laundry facilities, again 10km away. In the accommodation for 6 guests, there is only 1 main bed and the other beds are only fold down beds.
Location on river bank.
Too easy to access the premises
The atmosphere and facility
The shower in the facility
The 6 bed house is a 4 bed house.
The location to Kruger Park and being on the Crocodile River
A couple of minor maintenance issues were not attended to
- The location immediately by the Crocodile Bridge Kruger Gate - The view from the cottage on the Crocodile River and the park - The equipments of the cottage - How the cottage was conceived
the freezing fridge !
no tv, bedding looked old
The peace and tranquility of the facility as opposed to staying in the KNP's camps - which can often be noisy, depending on the visitors & their numbers. LOved the swimming pool and vista over the KNP.
Fridge in unit 5 too small. Freezer box was frozen up - could've been defrosted. Electric kettle should be de-calcified regularly, with the seemingly high presence of lime in the local water. Provide 2 dustbins. 1 upstairs & 1 at the braai area below.
Everything. I booked based on what I saw on the website - log cabin. When I got there, I was allocated an old bachelor chalet with no tv nor radio. You share an outside kitchenette with two (2) other units. Your cupboard and utensils are in this outside kitchenette. The shower head is old and clogged by lime scale - you hardly enjoy your shower. The bed is uncmfortable. You have a double - and a three quarter beds in the same room. I felt like I was at a backpackers accommodation. It explains why they take the payment in advance and there is a cancellation fee. Was it a coincidence that the owners were conveniently away?
Amazing view and lovely swimming pool.
Linnen is very old. Curtains does not match. Kitchen very dirty, fridge rusted. Kettle disgusting.
The clean swimming pool and the clean chalet
No place to wash clothes. No supervision whan the workers is cleaning
