There are a choice of either an 8-bed or 10-bed dormitory, and all the amenities you might need, including internet access, a restaurant, a well-stocked bar and a fully equipped kitchen. Wander around the premises of the Emerald Backpackers and enjoy the lovely gardens and 2 swimming pools. IF you want to rent a car, the Emerald staff will make all the arrangements for you. Alternatively, you can join one of the day trips offered to Johannesburg, Soweto, Pretoria or the diamond and gold mines of the area. Longer tours to Kruger National Park, the largest game reserve in South Africa, are also available. le cadre extérieur est vraiment très agréable et sympathique, le personnel acceuillant et disponible.Très proche de l'aéroport, ce que nous recherchions pour un transit d'une nuit. les dortoirs sont plus que rudimentaires . Serrure défectueuse dans le logement qui nous était réservé,on nous a gentiment proposé un autre dortoir.mais malheureusement sans eau chaude donc pas de douche possible ,.une vitre cassée dans le dortoir,nous avons eu très froid.

Staff very helpful. I accidentaly left a bag at the guesthouse and they brought it to me at the airport before my flight took off. Extremely helpful!!!

Der Backpacker liegt nahe zum OR Thambo (Johannesburg) Flughafen und bietet einen Abhol/Zubring Service zum Flughafen. Es gibt einige Sicherheitsvorkehrungen die in diesem Gebiet auch erforderlich sind. Für dieses Geld soll mann nicht viel erwarten. Was mich gestört hat und auch meine Nachtruhe eher zu Nachtunruhe gemacht hat, war die im Winter extrem kaltes Zimmer wo ich übernachtete. Die zimmer sind nicht gedämmt um Temperaturen auszugleichen, also hätte ich eigentlich genausogut im Freiem schlafen können. Die Stockbetten waren extrem wackelig. Fernseher war Vorhanden, aber wegen der Verkabelung müßte mann direkt davor stehen, überhaupt darauf sehen zu können. Es geht weiter.
