Ms. V. is a fantastic host. She is very caring and tries to do everything to make your stay perfect. Driving with the golf cart through the wine yards was great experience. Very nice pool area. Bed was super-comfortable.
WIFI was a little bit weak in our room (Octavius Suite).
The.whole atmosphere from arrival to departure was warm, friendly and welcoming. A perfect stay with lovely food and facilities. A golf buggy available to self-drive through the vineyards and the base of the mountains epitomised the quality of the stay.
Wonderful place in the Robertson area.
The dogs are everywhere (sofas, rooms,...). If you don't like them, you shouldn't stay there. Bathrooms require a renovation.
Beautiful location and helpful staff
Dinner was a little ordinary and not good value for money, although the free wine was a nice perk
Excellent, attentive staff and a wonderful welcome. The bedrooms were spacious and the common areas - lounge/pool etc. - were well furnished. We have already been back!!
Dinner wasn't to our taste (creamy sauce on main course) - though other guests seemed to like it.
I tried to find something negativ - but I couldn't! Everything is just excellent!
The pool overlooked onto the mountains and it was very serene.
Our room had no air con con or fan so it was uncomfortably, stiflingly hot. Dinner was a set menu, which unfortunately wasnt very nice
Location, lovely setting and good views.
Very poor breakfasts
When we arrived, we immediately get a drink. The excelsior wine was very good. The lady asked us for diner. She made a three course diner for us. That was delicious and James was an excellent waiter. And the diner was cheap.
guided tour wine production, golfcar to drive around in the wineyards, nice terrace and pool
Ability to check in early after landing early at Cape Town airport.
Dogs on the chairs.
There are places that make you feel home straight away. This is one of them. Loved walking with the owners three lovely dogs at sunset threw the vineyards. They actually just took us for the walk, and although i'm normaly not a special doglover, those little fellas found their way into my heart straight away. Also a good place to meet tastfull and interesting travellers for a good chat. Resume: A beautifull old country house and a perfect place to get away from the hassle and bustle of rest of the world.
