“The arrival at the hotel was very welcoming with the doorman being very thorough in his taking care of all our luggage and ensuring we knew where to park our car and taking us to our room and ensuring we knew where everything was and we were comfortable. Good breakfast and good value for money.”

I liked the fact that the hotel kept the bikes for the Argus in a safe location and that the hotel was so close to the start. The hotel also ensured the breakfast before the race was in line with cyclists needs. I loved the OZONE water fountain!! Great move!!! The lifts were very old and rickety.

Hotel situated in a central position in Cape Town, easy to reach by bus from the airport.I Found a real apartment, with every comfort. The staff was always very professional, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was plentiful and good quality. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Cape Town. I had the impression that the area at night could be dangerous, especially if one goes out alone, like in my case (thankfully, nothing has happened). The tv did not offer many programs.

It was conveniant for us as we were needing a 3 month long term stay in between us moving homes. This suited us financially, size of apartment and being self catering. The day staff were extremely friendly and helpful. As we were situated on Adderley Street side of hotel above the restuarant and bar area we found it extremely noisy and no staff/manager on duty to stop drunk folk from making a noise after midnight.....sometimes even till 4am. The taxi rank opposite was also very noisy fron 5am in the morning. The furniture is extremely old and uncomfortable for a long term stay and the carpets through out the hotel very grubby especially in the lifts. The odours from the restuarant were also not great in our room especially when cooking with oil or fish.

The phone at reception is forever ringing without anybody picking up. I booked b&b but was told that my booking was only for the bed and excluded breakfast. Had to pay breakfast out of my pocket

I loved that the room had a King size bed! The breakfast was excellent and the coffee delicious. I appreciated the environmental approach. We also got to check in early at no extra charge!! I've recommended you to my friends and would definitely stay with you again next time we need to come to the city.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and went beyond my expectations. The location was very good. Breakfast was good and was nice that you can sit outside. The furnishings are a little out dated and the layout of the room was not very good - would say more of a 3 than 4 star hotel - but a good 3 star.

The balcony room which I requested to get changed to. Parking is an absolute joke! The rooms are nothing like the website depicts, besides the balcony room. Still waiting for my wake up call. One of the elevators "level 6" button doesnt work, had to go to 7 and walk down the fire escape. Linen and dirty dishes left next to the elevator for hours. Jack Daniels and SoCo not in stock for the whole stay, but its on the menu. Empty minibar.

Everything. The hotel is airy, spacious, welcoming, just exactly what one looks for in an hotel. I am already thinking of returning for a longer stay. The rooms are large and the king size bed was divine. The spacious room allows for two comfortable armchairs and lots of space. The window even has a window seat! (Oh well ok, wide window sill so you can sit on it and see the city below!) The bathroom was clean but could do with a revamp. I loved the big mirrors in the bathroom. Plus two mirrors in the bedroom, one a quaint little stand-alone mirror on the dressing table. Tea and coffee facilities and a bar fridge in the room was great! And last but not least, the breakfast buffet was great! I loved the inside-outside seating of the breakfast room with a view of the fountains in Adderley Street. The staff were plenty and ready to assist not that I needed to ask for anything. The parking was the best - just drive up (I found a parking right by the lifts on the first floor). Then take the lift down one floor to the ground level and check in. Check- in was efficient. I love this hotel.

The Hotel was reasonable but I sent an e-mail request for adjacent rooms however, the two rooms were at opposite ends of the corridor. On the second day, a group of young girls arrived and we had to complain twice to have something done about it. I would not use this hotel again.

I liked that everyone was so friendly fromn the moment you enter, until the time that you leave. The breakfast is vast and varied and the breakfast buffet service run slick like a well oiled machine. The location is ideal as you are five minutes away from vna and walking distance from many shops. Even though I selected to stay at the supreme room, I found that it was not as spaceous as I would have liked and although advertised with a view, the view was nothing too special

This was our second stay at Fountains. We returned because the staff are so very, very friendly, generous and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The corridors leading to the hotels are long and a bit off putting. Some paint work and decoration would help.
