Its central situation. The overall maintenace of the furniture and the average level of the food serve in the buffets. We don't think this hotel deserves the 4 stars label |

The friendliness and helpfulness of the hotel staff was the best part of our stay. They made us welcome and comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet which had a great variety from which to choose. The room was spacious and comfortable. |

Good location and easy access to the Convention Centre and to the V&A Waterfront. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Prices have increased dramatically since this time last year and now represent international levels. However, the hotel is not up to the same level. Problems again with elevators, cracked and peeling toilet seat and broken bathroom fixtures. |

I liked the fact that the hotel was central enough to explore the entire city. |

Hotel was centrally placed in ct. Made use of the limited but adequate gym and single lane swimming pool which was a novelty for me!!!! Hotel was clean and comfortable although the room could do with a lick of paint and window frame needed slight adjustment. One of the staff informed me that it was dangerous to change money at the ATMs directly outside, but he escorted me to and from which was above and beyond the call of duty. This is a dangerous city by reputation but I never felt threatened and if pestered I asked them gto go away and they did, pronto. |

The guys at reception was most helpful with all our bookings and questions. The breakfast was chaotic with long waiting time by the food dishes which could be organised in a better manner. |

I liked everything about the hotel but the internet service. I am planning another trip to Capetown. This time with my family and Fountains Hotel is the hotel I would like to stay in The internet service was the most horrible I have ever seen. It is unspeakably painful the money for the internet service |

Everything was clean and the actual room was actually a suite. The hotel type and location was more suitable for business people than for a leisure break. The rooms were very clinical and lacked any character. The reception staff were generally unhelpful with one exception. The claim to have a swimming pool is outrageous - it turned out to be a narrow strip of water barely wide enough for one person to swim in - it looked like a fish tank. |

It met our needs perfectly. Was close to the Convention Center for my conference (and much cheaper than the hotels nearer the CC). Was convenient to downtown tourist places. The staff were friendly and effective. Meals at hotel were decent -- better places to eat elsewhere. We had trouble with an international calling card. Still don't know if it was the hotel's phone system or our card. (However the hotel put us through to US and didn't even charge us for the brief call) |

I stayed in a suite and it was great. It is clean and well kept, but a bit hollow. A bit of decor would be nice. |
