We travel quite a lot around the world, and this is the first time ever we left an accommodation, although we had to pay "blind folded" in advance for the room. We had several issues with this place, but the most frustrating thing was the lack of presence or inability to contact the owner to help us resolve the issues (or at least try).
This is a florist shop (pretty run down, may I say), where the florist (who is not really in charge of anything) is giving the keys to the guest if you arrive to the place before 4pm (!!!) or in our case leaving it in the mailbox and we entered on our own, and a lady comes by in the morning to prepare breakfast/clean. The owner is not there, never approachable, not even through email or sms. She simply does not reply!! "Kim" is like Colombo's wife. This behavior is very arrogant, and totally unacceptable.
Some of the issues we had and made us leave after 1 night out of the 5 paid:
Room full of ants (I even found one on my toothbrush in the morning that was zipped away in my suitcase!!!). I think regular cleaning is not enough to fight that.
And when the ants are everywhere, it would be nice to at least store our suitcases on something, unfortunately there is no choice but the floor...
It is ok not to have AC, but if you don't even invest in a fan, at least get a cheap window net so that we can breathe when it is 35 degrees outside. (We decided to breath and open the window so after only one night we got up full of moscito -or other bug- bites in the morning...)
According to Booking.com, the price included breakfast, but we found out there, from a wall post, that breakfast is provided weekdays only. (???)
Finally, invest in a toilet brush, please.
The fridge in the room does not work, only takes the already little free space.
Funny things like no toilet paper and dirty toilet from arrival at 7pm until following noon....
The cleaning lady was nice but she could not solve our main problems.
