The setting Service was excellent. Room and view from patio very pleasing.
Toilet area in room a little small. Prices are obviously geared to foreign tourists who are spending Euros. Quite pricey for S African holiday makers!
Comfortable, clean, nice garden, waiters and other staff
Too big to have charm Too far from the game reserve (more then 15 Km of rough road) Food for dinner mediocre Staff at reception not very knowledgeable of the attractions around (particularly Mkuze)
The room was nice The meals were good
The Bathroom was not clean. The bathroom is in need of a revamp
Breakfast was good
The supper was a south african braai .. i do believe that with the amount of foreign travelers that were evident it would hv taken just a bit more effort and had the meal served fresh from a braai .. with table settings laid out better >> rather than just as a buffet. so supper was disappointing to say the least
Friendliness of Staff, Gardens, Bar and surrounding area, Security, Spa facility and Menu, Tour Guide.
Gym and our Room looked aged, WiFi was only available in the Foyer area, Trainee Female chef knocked a spoon and Pea's on the floor and did not bother to pick them up, Road outside of Inn is littered with Sugar Cane (looks untidy).
Grounds are quiet and lush; msny types of birds. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms and meals are excellent
Its greatest asset is its ever cheerful & very attentive staff.
The early morning noise from the trucks passing through the gravel road next to our rooms.
Friendliness of staff Lovely location + boardwalk etc overlooking dam/lake
Would it be possible to have cheaper pub lunch-type meals?
Friendliness of the staff
I think it's quite expensive for what is offered.
Overall experience very positive, staff friendly, everything well organised, location great, lagoon awesome. peace and quiet
Costing of evening meal. thought it was poor form to have a buffet then have a cost for two courses and a R50 loading to have all three. Really guys, surely R150 per head is enough. Is a chocolate mousse dessert really worth R50? As a SA citizen, felt this was excessive. noticed a lot of EU accents around, so dividing by 10 made the difference miniscule for them. Thought it was overall poor form though to charge R200 for what was essentially a barbecue. Whole practice struck me as money-grubbing-something unworthy of a **** establishment with and international and reasonably upmarket local clientele.
Everything , awesome place , staff and food
I liked the atmosphere of the establishment. The staff were super helpful and the food was good.
In this day and age when people are travelling it is almost unheard of that you do not have internet in the rooms. I used the board room which was ok but I travel worldwide and I did not even consider that a facility of your standard ,location and cost would not have internet in the rooms.
Lovely bar/eating/lounge areas. Beautifully laid out with a lot of attention to detail. Good WIFI in lounge. Staff friendly and attentive. Room very good, good quality toiletries.
Coffee at breakfast - would prefer freshly made on order. Otherwise breakfast excellent.
Sean and the hotel staff were fantastic, made us feel very welcome. Great place to explore the region.
Clean and comfortable
Bathrooms are due for an upgrade
Loved the setting.....the peace and quiet. Staff are absolutely splendid. Very comfortable. Will go back.
Frog in rooms. Menu is very limited on days when hotel has small numbers.
We loved the area, the hotel's public areas were neat and looked newly refurbished. The housekeeping, bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and welcoming.
We stayed in Room 29, the carpet and base of the bed were stained with dirt. We found pubic hairs in the bathroom, the silicon had mould around the bath and the rooms are a bit dated. Our TV didn't work and when we reported this the manager came said he needed to replace the cable and never came back, we asked reception if we could move and we were told no even though the hotel was not full. Prices advertised for drinks in the menu were not updated, at least we got an apology from the barman. We will not stay at Ghost Mountain Inn again with all of the other options in the area we feel that they are geared towards tour groups. We booked the hotel to celebrate our anniversary and I feel they felt short delivering on the basics.
The staff are really helpful and the rooms are comfortable. The breakfasts are fantastic. I was able to order a very good dinner as I was not keen on all the meat that was served.
I was put in a room that had no light on the patio. The patio was next to a sewer inlet and not very pleasant. I would expect this room to be less expensive in the circumstances. I also find that they often have a braai for dinner and one has to order from a limited choice.
The ambience, location and facilities. I got to truly relax and unwind...with every need catered for.
Lovely hotel with excellent staff. Enjoyed our stay there
Buffet dinner no choice of a la carte
the atmosphere and relaxing feel to the place.
the location and our experience on the first night we stayed over.
breakfast......make it halal..so v can enjoy more
No braii area...beside having big area.
The surroundings, monkeys, ambience, poolside bar and dining amenities, building design and did not see a mosquito. Even the cats were friendly. The chef was very helpful including giving me the recipe for his bread.
The boerewors was not up to expectations.
The weather which was dreadful
Fantastic service. All the staff go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one. The Zulu dancing in the evening was fantastic. The food was of a very high standard.
Rooms are a bit outdated.
