Wifi is slow & sometimes no signal
we stayed in the honeymoon suite awesome my husband and i wished we had stayed longer. The helper was friendly and sweet also. We loved the quietness and the homey feeling of the place.
i would have loved to have more options not just good old bacon and eggs and muesli. Food is important when visiting a place. Generally the place was awesome. Parking space was also a hustle we drove in circles until someone got out of parking on the road.
Very comfortable, centrally located and the host was lovely. We had a great time
The bathroom was quite small
It is in an excellent location; near a great variety of restaurants, not far from city and in view of Table Mountain. Located on the side of Signal Hill, anybody with any walking difficulties may find it a problem visiting the local shopping area. Maureen was an excellent hostess and very helpful making reservations and providing information. Excellent breakfast with home made bread.
First visit requested the 'standard' room which was very small. However, during second visit stayed in one of the larger rooms, which was excellent.
We had a fantastic stay at Gilmour Hill. With parking available meant Gilmour Hill's location was perfect, being between the city bowl and Table Mountain. Lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The service was outstanding, great breakfasts and a beautiful terrace to enjoy it on. Maureen was very welcoming and gave us many helpful tips. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Excellent location next to Kloof Street and a short walk to Long Street. A really nice area! We only stayed for one night and felt that the place was super cute but almost too picturesquely and "at someone's home" for our taste. In the short time we stayed, we did not acquaint that much with Maureen, but she seemed nice and accommodating. Nice breakfast.
Too much "at someone's home" for our taste, but not at all something wrong. Just depending on how you like it. There could have been some more information regarding the house cat, since one of us is allergic.
The location was excellent. Close to many restaurants in Kloof Street. Downhill all the way however up-hill coming back. Not good for someone with a heart condition. The owner was charming and very helpful and so her shy assistant. Good breakfast in the morning.
We were allocated a 'standard' room for starters that contained two single beds and everything was small: the wardrobe, the basin etc. However there are a couple larger, more comfortable rooms which we can recommend.
Amazing stay, lovely staff, excellent breakfast. We have really enjoyed our two nights stay in Gilmour Hill. Great view of the Table Mountain from the window over the bath tub in the honeymoon suite. Thank you so much Maureen! (and to your lovely cats too!!) Federico and Emanuela from Italy
Really comfortable beds and lovely breakfast. Excellent airport collection from hotel recommended taxi company. Lovely cat.
The room I was in had lots of windows and not great window coverings, particularly so in the bathroom. Door to terrace didn't lock, would have felt safer if it did.
The Hause is very nice, rooms are very pretty, very good situated to visit capetawn and table mountain. The terrace for the breakfast ist very pretty with two cute cats! Maureen is a sweetheart!
Amazing breakfast, Maureen lovely and very helpful, nice cats, room was stunning, wish we could have stayed longer!
Maureen simply is the perfect host in the most wonderful location
The Host, she is such a nice person. She is try to help you in everything, at every Moment. Not at least, she cooks you a perfekt and fresh breakfast on your choice. The interior is very nice and autentic for this beautiful house. Thanks again Maureen for our 2 weeks stay with you.
we were welcomed with such warmth by the host and felt at home. Pick-up from the airport can also be arranged. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very cozy. Beautiful view of Table Mountain. We were spoiled with excellent breakfast and lots of helpful tips by Maureen, the host. Location is ideal. Nice housing area with shops, cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Otherwise, bus or cab to Waterfront.
- excellent breakfast - super location: next to Kloof Street with lots of cafes and restaurants, 20 minutes walk to Long Street where all the action is, MyCiti Bus station 2 minute walk away (ride to Camps Bay in 15 minutes, to V&A Waterfront in 20 minutes) - Maureen is a marvelous, friendly and very helpful host
Good accessible location to hop around Cape Town city area. Room is neat and tidy. Maureen, B&B owners' hospitality is excellent.
Good location, great views from the bath.
The room was not very clean. It also felt like we were staying in a family home instead of a B&B as there were pictures of grandchildren and family everywhere. The breakfast was ok. We stayed in the honeymoon suite as we were on honeymoon, but it felt like just another guesthouse - nothing special.
I liked people, decoration, silent local (no noise).
I booked a honeymoon room in booking.com, but when I arrived I was not. And the bed in the room where I was, wasn´t a couple bed, but 2 single beds side by side. It was a deep deception, and nothing was done. I´ve paid the same price and the guesthouse´s owner told me the problem is with booking.com. I want you clarify this situation with booking.com as soon as possible - and my money back!
The welcome and homely atmosphere. The house is decorated beautifully and is like a family home.
