It was a well worth the cost and even more than what was expected. The facilities and staff were awesome. Everyone was very courteous and friendly, from the security at the entrance to the desk staff and the support staff. We felt welcomed and well cared for. Their breakfast was great and the restaurant serves really delicious food. Cocktails and drinks were great as well.

I stayed with family menbers and they had a nice thatched room.
As I said, my opinion is that we were accommodated in the old gardener/gate security guard's facility because it is situated right at the gate
The loadshedding in RSA contribute 100% to make your stay terrible

Our purpose for traveling to Midrand was to visit family and grandchildren, not especially to see the sights. However, there were two places in addition to the house where we were visiting our family that we really enjoyed:
There was a Natural Wildlife and Bird reserve with walking trails and a lake, picnic tables, shelters, and facilities to make it pleasant and comfortable.
And the Mall of South Africa is not just a mall. It has both outdoor and indoor play areas for children, fountains to splash in, and amusement park type rides, (which weren't running on the days we were there), in addition to all the food and shops you would expect at a mall. And South Africa is very inexpensive for those coming from the UK, the USA, and Europe, so you can eat out, a really good meal, for the cost of the groceries for preparing it yourself back at home.

Place is relatively safe, even business and shopping at mall of africa there were no hustles.many places to eat around,we had spurs, nandos and debonairs pizza which was ok.we really didnt have time to see the other restaurants around maybe the next time we visit.getting around was quite easy with the ubers,we even went to woodmead value mart the other day with no stress. Only regrets were on accomodation as our host wasnt as helpful, will surely avoid it next time. otherwise the trip was a success.
Imagine a county manor teleported into South Africa: the dining room laid for 16, the salon/library with shelves of books surrounding a dozen comfy chairs/sofas. Each room outfitted with vintage furniture, a bath with a separate toilet and steadying bars on the side of the showers. Breakfast presented w/ elegance. Pool, shaded walks, lounge chairs for relaxing.

The host is really wonderful. Even though I booked another room, she happily moved me to a different one when I requested. Attention to small things in the apartment (coffee, tea, milk and all the extra things in the bathroom that one might not find even in expensive hotels these days), really made all the difference. It was great.
I liked the garden and the pool, and the atmosphere, in general, was excellent. The house is as advertised on booking.com. Breakfast was a highlight for me. The hosts are so friendly. I struggled to find the place, so I arrived at the hotel at 11:12 pm. Chris waited for me, and I checked in.
The General Manager personally came to me during breakfast the following morning to apologise for the behaviour of the student's visitor and offered a refund. I appreciate that they can't control all of their residents, but still took responsibility for their paying customers' comfort.
Very tidy and lovely Guest House equipped with everything you need. A good bed and nice bathroom. The front desk lady is a great host and there when you need her, Very nice and wants to share all she know about the area. We had a great stay!
Great little place for comfortable overnight stays in Midrand ! The room has everything, nice and clean sheets! Great staff. I always seem to find my way back here. Horse country
Checking in and out was very quick and smooth. The hotel kept my bag in safe storage until check in time. Room was clean. Shower was nice and warm with great pressure.
Beautiful unit, has everything you need for a short stay in Midrand. Two separate couches in the TV room, two bathrooms and the comfy beds was appreciated.
