Very good,
Score from 39 reviews
“ The staff is lovely, everyone was always smiling and really helpful with everything. The hotel is really stylish and charming. The rooms look brand new and really clean. The price for a room is really convenient considering location and services provided (sauna, jacuzzi, swimming pool, beautiful garden, secured parking, wi-fi, sea views etc). It's the perfect place to stay to visit Cape Town. It was the highlight of our holiday! We highly recommend it! ”

Our room had extensive views of the sea. Sunsets in particular were to die for. The location was ideal for us. A great walk along signal hill to the V & A via the noon day gun. The facilities were outstanding in this boutique style hotel. Staff were extremely help full and friendly. Nothing

The people running the hotel were unbelievably friendly and just plain wonderful. The hotel in and of itself is also beautiful and clean. Not sure about what more you could ask for!

Quite a pleasant vibe - peaceful garden and pool areas. Happy, helpful and friendly staff. All very informal and pretty laid-back. A little lack of the feeling of 'a real hotel' it's as if the owner has bought his kids a hotel to play with and give them something to do ! The hotel bar ran out of beer, completely empty minibars in the rooms - no drinking water, no spare electric plug convertors - it's as if nobody can be bothered to do these more mundane hotel tasks - or are even aware what a nuisance it can be when such simple things, required by most travellers, are not readily available.

Staff were excellent, rooms comfortable, good location for our requirements Staff mixed up our booking and we ended up in a small room after confirming the wing room. Also the site refers to wonderful sea views which is not the case. Staff tried to resolve but were unsuccessful. Not really a 4 STAR as claimed

Breakfast area and breakfast. Friendly and accommodating staff. Pool, jaquzzi, sauna and steam room. Spa but did not make use of it. Big spacious rooms. Toilet smelling, plumbing problems. No mirror in the room. Cleaning of the room not the same every day. Small coach in family room at the tv

The staff at the Grande Kloof we're very helpful and friendly. Our flight arrived early in the morning and since our room wasn't yet available they kindly gave us a guest room so we could change & freshen up until our own room became available. Highly recommended !! The internet unfortunately wasn't working problem when we visited ... we could only pick up the WIFI from the reception and public areas. It appeared to be a temporary issue so it wasn't a big deal.

One of the most beautiful boutique hotels we have ever stayed at. Perfect location as a base to explore all of the interesting and exciting places in Cape Town. Our "Champagne Suite" on the top floor was large, light, extremely comfortable and had the most stunning bathroom. Awesome views of the mountain and the sea. Great pool and garden area, and the sauna and steam room are a great plus! Without a doubt Ryno and the rest of the staff made our trip. Friendly, nothing was too much trouble and always on hand for advice on where to go and what to see. Thanks team Grande Kloof. We wont stay anywhere else!

Only location The room had no windows no aircon leaving the only sliding doors open made us feel unsafe. We wanted a hotel this is a guest house. No phone in the room. No room service, pool was dirty. This was an old converted house with a bad renovation trying to be a hotel. We left after being in the room for 1 hour and checked into the president hotel a proper hotel without a single refund option. Never again and we will simply not recommend this as an option.

Location is excellent, hotel is beautiful - comfy - quiet - peaceful - gorgeous - (a home away from home) - staff is professional and friendly, managers are awesome and great hosts, the view is awesome, all in all this is a hotel I would definitely stay in again and would recommend to all my friends and fellow travelers. The only thing that we would say was a little uncomfortable is the "open" bathroom scene.

Excellent staff, good views, and nice room. Breakfast was very good. The bathrooms could use a door - although we knew about it when we booked it - so can't complain about it.

We really enjoyed the friendly and helpfull staff, the modern design of the hotel and the great breakfastroom where we could enjoy our breakfast in the sun every morning. The location of the hotel is very good to explore either Cape Town of Camps Bay, however you will need a car to come around. Wifi was not available in het room

The staff were all wonderful, friendly and helpful. The rooms are generous in size. Our party had two rooms. One with a sea view which was great. And one with a garden view. The sea view rooms are much bigger and have huge bathrooms that are private. There is a double shower, which is great. Breakfast is basic continental with eggs, either scramble or fried. Coffee was excellent from a small SAECO machine which ground fresh beans. My only criticism here is that as a boutique hotel, don't serve jam, bread, cold meat and butter all wrapped up in cling wrap. Take the time to present everything as fresh as opposed to hauling it out the fridge as a prepackaged item. The lounge area is well laid out and is very comfortable with great views. Wifi is available and is free. In my opinion This is not a boutique hotel, it is more a large guest house. Entrance into the property is awkward, you have to leave your vehicle in the road to press the intercom which is situated a good 3-4m from the gate itself. This practice is standard for the duration of the stay as there were no spare remote controls for the gate. On two occasions it was the usual Cape Town down pour of rain, not nice. The garden view is all open plan. Shower, bed, basin and toilet. Having a toilet in an open plan room is just....awkward. Draw your own conclusions. The bed was very comfortable and the shower is probably the best part of the hotel Big and spacious. The room was always clean. The biggest frustration with the garden rooms is that they are on the ground level of three stories with access from a passage. Sound therefore is amplified. On both nights that I stayed here. You could hear other guests, entering their rooms, showering, flushing the toilet and even more annoying, I could clearly hear the guest adjacent to my room snoring. If you are sensitive to sound, do not take a garden room.
