Situated at the foot of the Paarl Rock, this renovated Victorian manor house offers a heated outdoor pool and a wellness centre featuring Swedish massages. Its lounge bar has a world class cigar selection. All rooms at Grande Roche Hotel have underfloor heating and TV with access to multilingual channels. Complimentary fruit, flowers and mineral water are provided upon arrival. Bosman’s restaurant serves gourmet meals including seafood specialities and vegetarian dishes. tolle Lage,wunderschönes altes Ensemble,Atmosphäre Service bzw. Servicemitarbeiter sehr langsam und oberflächlich,z.B. morgens gibts erst keinen Kaffee,dann keine Tasse, dann keine Butte,etc. Nicht 5 sterne würdig

Einzig die Lage ist dem einstigen 5 Sterne Glanz geblieben. Positiv zu erwähnen ist die sehr bemuehte, in weiten Teilen aber unausgebildete Servicemannschaft! Es war unser dritter Besuch im Grand Roche u wir wurden enttäuscht!Es erinnert nur noch der Preis an ein 5 Sterne Hotel.Das Badezimmer unserer Suite ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen,aus dem laufenden Ventilator fällt Schmutz während man in der Badewanne liegt,in der Dusche wurden 2 rote Warmwasserarmaturen installiert,usw! Es gab an dem oberen Pool in der Zeit als wir dort waren,keinen Service im Gegensatz zu unseren früheren Aufenthalten.Lediglich eine Karaffe mit lauwarmem Wasser stand bereit u ein paar Aepfel!Das Restaurant Bosmans serviert an einigen Tagen nur noch ein Bistromenue!Sehr erbärmlich fuer den Anspruch des Hauses. Am Abreisetag warteten wir 20 min vergeblich auf den angekündigten Gepaeckservice! Wer das Grand Roche aus früheren Aufenthalten kennt,wird enttaeuscht sein!

Top, von Anfang bis zum Ende. Tolles klassisches Hotel an spektakulärer Lage. Super Restaurant, super Bedienung. Eigentlich nur die beschränkte Datenmenge des Wifi, die nicht mehr den heutigen Ansprüchen genügt.
