FOOD - dinner was excellent
Reception say we can have breakfast from 6h00 - we arrive early to see it is only from 7h00 - staff done very good to give us something to eat
For the price we paid for the room we expected more. R1800 for 0ne night is not cheap and although the room was pleasant enough it def did not warrant that rate.
The staff are atentive and will look after you. The country feel and style of the country house would make you go back. The choice between the two restuarants is a bonus and both serve excelent food.
The Scenery was beautiful . Breakfasts were amazing and the staff very friendly.
The some of the tiles in the bathroom were quite old . The towel heater in fhe bathroom had an exposed plug .
Thando at reception was great. Super friendly & professional. Rooms were great! Chef Shaun was fantastic, definitely go for the 5 course meal paired with wines. It was my mom's birthday, Chef Shaun made the most amazing complimentary birthday cake. To the Granny Mouse Country House & Spa, thank you for making this birthday weekend an unforgettable one.
We enjoyed the lovely many lounges in which you could relax either on your own or could choose to join other guest. The food was also very good.
Glad to say that we enjoyed everything.
I loved the welcoming character and homely ambience. All senses were soothed: the beauty of the surroundings rested the eyes; there was a freshness of gardens and welcoming aromas in the rooms; tranquility and the sounds of the countryside banished city stresses; comfort and warmth of the rooms gave a homely softness; and the tastes of a top/class kitchen added the icing on the cake!
I enjoyed my stay. The food and wine was excellent....
Our room was beautifull.
Fine dining - was just a little bit "little food"
Everything was cool. The fires in the hotel and room are fabulous
The friendlyness of the staff. Comfort in the rooms, all the extras like the electric blankets and the fireplace. All the goodies like the bath oil in the bathroom makes a person feel at home. The food display and variaty of the breakfast was excellent. Thank you very much.
Food and room was good
Mid winter and none of the longes were warm. Windows had been left open fireplaces/aircon not in operation- most unwelcome feeling
The staff were friendly and helpful The breakfast was excellent The room was very comfortable The hotel itself is cosy and quaint.
More could be done to maintain the gardens Warming the room before our arrival would have been a nice touch
wonderful, relaxing, superior rooms with the fine dining being outstanding. warm hospitality all round.
Everything, other than my "What didn`t you like?"
We could not order from the Bistro menu when dining in the Eaves. We tried the Bistro and it was fully booked so were forced to go to the Eaves.
Loved everything. The room was amazing. The bathroom was the best :-)

I really enjoyed my stay here. I would love to go back and spend some more time there in the future with my partner.
Lovely spacious rooms, stunning views and great food in both the bistro and restaurant.
Excellent service from the manager.
SERVICE, FOOD, ROOM AND EVERYTHING WAS REALLY GREAT.
CHECK OUT TIME IS TOO EARLY. PAYING RATHER A LOT OF MONEY FOR LESS THAN 24 HOURS. THINK THEY SHOULD EXTEND THE CHECK OUT TIME
The relaxing vibe
The location is wonderful.... Right in the centre of the Meander. The staff were welcoming, efficient and friendly. Our room had a fireplace and more than made up for the cold winter nights
Whilst the breakfasts that were served in the Bistro were great, the dinner in the same venue left much to be desired. It was tasteless and poorly plated and a great disappointment.
Efficient, professional service from the time we arrived at the reception desk until the time be signed out! Fireplace in bedroom with firelighters, kindling and ample fire wood provided!
