the main bedroom was always dark, no windows , poor ventilation
The staff especially Geraldien made our stay a wonderful experience. The setting is beautiful, calm and scenic
Early in the morning quite some trucks passing, very loud noise.
Very nice cottage, nice surroundings.
Breakfast was yummy and good vslue for money
Only that I heard about you too late. Was in Stellenbosch for 2 nights and the 1st night we stayed at a guest house which was not great at all.
We only stayed for 1 night but staff was very friendly and helpful and we had to leave by 7am so staff was accommodating by helping us so we could have breakfast early. Staff was also happy to assist us with directions
The DSTV didn't work and nothing was done to fix it, the shower pressure was awful, the blinds were broken, and the rooms don't feel private due to poor soundproofing
The hostess was warm and friendly, the estate is beautiful, the bed was very comfortable, and the room and linen was clean
The rug in the flatlet was very wet.
We stayed in two different types of accommodation. One night my husband and I spent in the B&B which included a good full breakfast. Really large, comfortable, clean room and bathroom with all the home comforts. We then, as a family of 4, spent two nights in the flatlet. It is comfortable and has a good kitchen if you wish to self cater. The views from the building are spectacular as you get to see table mountain over a green sea of vineyards. A very relaxing, comfortable stay.
The security is an important aspect of a person stay! I felt safe and secure and very cimfortable. I love the rustic ambience and the food well prepared and well presented. Definitely recommended
There is no reception and you have to look for someone to assist.
Overall it is a very nice place.
The friendliness of the personnel, the vicinity of both Stellenbosch and Cape Town, the view on Table Mountain at breakfast (provided good visibility)
No salt and pepper on breakfast table
I strongly recommend you not to stay in the cottage. It's very humid, the ceiling is damaged and moldy in both bedrooms. The place is not cleaned properly, particularly the bathroom and the fridge. We even found old open beverages from the previous occupants in it. There are many items that are dirty and/or broken and the place stinks to insect repellent. There is no A/C and the beds have no flat sheets so you have to sleep with a sweaty comforter on you. The bedroom in the house may be ok, but we don't stayed there because it was full, this is just the cottage review.
The owner had the will to let us stay somewhere else. However, we arrived very late and had no other place to go to.
Great ambience in a tranquil location. Friendly staff, clean and great value for money.
Could not find the place on my GPS at the first place. the toilet broke down the moment we move in and also the tap in kitchen (fixed afterwards thankfully). Also we spotted mouse droppings at the door...
nice staff, she is very patient. And two cute dogs who guided us a tour in the farm are one of the beast memories of our staying there!
