One of the most stunning (and our favourite) beaches in the World.
Plenty of good restaurants - great value.
Loved the view from para gliding site but Map of Africa did not meet expectations.
Very restful / having had busy 3 weeks beforehand.
Restaurants - Las salinas; girls 👧 n the square; joplins steak house; pommodoro - all excellent and good value. Las S was our favourite; walking distance; good food and excellent service.

We stayed three nights in Wilderness and that was probably the perfect length of stay. It's a small town, but a very beautiful location. The long beach is nice, if you like that sort of thing. However, exploring the lagoon on an 'eco-cruise' is a 'must' and probably the most enjoyable adventure on our three-week stay in South Africa. Wilderness is also blessed with some good restaurants, 'The Girls On The Square' deserves an accolade, but 'Serendipity' is in a league of its own - one of the best restaurants I've visited anywhere in the world.

This is an amazingly clean and beautiful property. It has a lovely pool with sunbeds and seating area to rear of property and the front of the property overlooks the most stunning beach. Little extras in the room make it absolutely fabulous. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly as is the family dog Duke. Would highly recommend.

Traveling to and staying over in Wilderness is an exceptional and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended. We rate Wilderness, the atmosphere, scenery, accommodation and guest houses, restaurants, scenic routes, beaches and everything about Wilderness as one of the most beautiful little towns in South Africa. Highlight of the Garden Route.
A comfortable, spacious apartment overlooking the Indian Ocean. Peaceful, rural location in the hills above Wilderness town.. Kitchen is well equipped. Gas water heater and gas stove, so you can still shower and cook during load shedding. Comfortable bed with plenty of blankets during winter. WIFI worked well. Appreciated having Netflix for movies in the evening. The host, Darryl, is very friendly and helpful. He clearly loves where he lives and had lots of great suggestions for hikes/walks in the area.. Recommended.
Located at top of the "Dune" in Wilderness all Room have phantastic Ocean views. The modern rooms have all hughe "whole wall windows" so that even if lying in bed one has a perfect view on the ocean.
All rooms have terraces or balconies. A wodden staircase/boardwalk (with a shower inbetween) directly leads down to the beach. Parkin lots in front of hotel.
The lounge offers wonderful interior, terrific books and when it is cold a fireplace.
Great place with great view of the ocean. We had such a great experience during the day when we saw the whale while on the beach and stars and galaxy observation during the night. Location is great. rooms and beds are comfy. Breakfast was very delicious with place makes feel you are home. Great room service and great hospitality.
Thank you Albert and Tersia for the good time we spend with you
A lovely hostel, the best views on the beach from the bigger dorm (enjoy the sunrise from your bed!), very friendly and helpful staff and great facilities. I felt at home and would have looked to stay longer! I was lucky to arrive on a Thursday, which is the open mic night at the hostel with locals and other travellers from Wilderness and the surrounding villages coming to listen to great music.
We highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Wilderness. With a view of the nearby ocean, close proximity to restaurants and a lovely welcoming from the host and hostess we were very pleased with our stay. We are especially grateful for the beautiful breakfast served on the deck, during which we got a special visit from a Lourie. Thank you so much for taking care of us!
Was had an amazing stay at MGM. The view was great into the beach, the hospitality and the warm welcoming from Dawie and Elsabe was really nice. You must listen to their recommendation for the places that you would visit in the area around wilderness. This place is a Must during your visit to the garden route.
The Resort is perfect for kids
The facilities available are perfect for a great holiday which we absolutely loved, we never had to leave the hotel unless we really needed too.
The staff was great! Loved Maggie at Breakfast she was amazing, friendly helpful and very professional.
The cloverleigh guest house is a great place for couples wanting to explore the Garden route. It is secluded but walking distance to Wilderness village centre and the Beach. The room has a fantastic view of the lagoon and the hosts are extremely accommodating.
The room is very big with a balcony. There is a fridge, coffee and tea in the room. The lodge is located right at the centre of the tiny town. Restaurants and supermarket are just a few minutes of walking distance. Wilderness NP is 40 mins walk away.
