It was very hot and the aircon helped a lot
We stayed here for just one night, was a little nervous with the front view of the place but once in the place it was all fine. Room was amazing very spacious and bed was very comfortable. Pub downstairs was good value for money and food was very good.
Aircon wasn't that good and didn't cool the room.
Central and quite no loud noise. The room was clean and well prepared. We did not pay the amount for the agent which means we paid the amount the hotel normally charged. The receptionist was friendly and willing to assist.
We booked a room with the kids and when we arrived there was no booking for us. We had two separate rooms which we could not let our kids under 12 sleep in a separate room.
Good bar and restaurant facilities
Bad attitude of management towards guest requests whilst waitrons wanted to help.
The bathroom was spacious, modern and had a bath & huge shower. The bedroom was a nice size, clean & comfortable.
It was a Sunday and the restuarant & bar facilities were closed. Because of the rain there were water puddles on the walkway entrance.
The location for us was good. We were just passing through so it was just one night. And the food and outside bar area are quite nice
The air con in the room was not great and the water draining from the shower did not drain so soaked the bathroom floor. Which made it quite slippery
Friendly staff and great food
No fridges in the rooms and it can get quite hot on kimberley
No real Wifi
Everything was in a short distance, and the restaurant has the best food ever value for money
Had no free wi-fi The shower was leaking in room 14 And there was a strange smell in the room
the confort of the bed n entertainment
Overall a very nice guest farm. Very clean and very friendly staff.
Room No. 4 just very, very noisy (next to kitchen, dining area AND Reception). Facilities were fair though not exceptional and the menu needs a bigger variety for specific likes and dislikes.
Not much really- the staff were pleasant.
We were shown to the wrong room which had a large blow up double bed in it. By the time the receptionist came back ten minutes later to advise us of the mistake we had started to unpack. After a very long journey there was no fridge. The second room was smaller. It was described as having a sitting area with couch etc and had one chair, no dressing table and not much else but the bed. it was dark with brown Venetian blinds which when pulled up reavealed a brick wall a foot away surrounded by building debris. The bathroom was huge but had not a single shelf or cupboard and wash bags had to sit on the floor. The restaurant described as fine dining was too brightly lit and the food unappetising, as was the basic expensive breakfast we had next morning. We had actually looked forward to our visit as the place had been owned onetime go by friend brother. it was not a good experience - thank goodness just for one night.
Their customer service is exceĺent
Noise from the bar
The location, staff and atmosphere was great, very good food and service
The water drainage in the shower was prettybad
Helpful and friendly staff
Rooms close to the bar area can be noisy. A desk in a room would be great for work.
Small place with character A little overpriced
No internet connectivity.
Decor good. Reception staff very helpful - went beyond the call of duty. Thanks!
Hot water system in shower terrible. Curtain on sliding door falling off and impossible to put back. Automatic gate system timing too short - dinged our car.
Food was excellent
It gives you an feeling of the story that history wants to tell!
Spacious and comfortable, and very quiet.
There wasn't enough hot water when I was about to take a shower, the shower head was also too loose couldn't understand whether it was broken or not.
NOISY UP TO 3:00 AM NOT EASY TO FALL ASLEEP
Cleanliness and comfort. Food is exelent
Parking can be upgraded, not enough parking for hotel geusts
The hotel is historically important and can boast some illustrious patrons, such as Cecil John Rhodes. Quite atmospheric. The duty manager tried her best to solve problems,
Our booking, done through booking.com could not be found and we were asked to stay in one of the guest houses run by Halfway House. The shower in this guest house was dirty and full of hairs. After showing the duty manager a picture taken on my cell phone, we were given another room. This time the toilet malfunctioned. The duty manager agreed to let us use the bathroom in the room next door. The manager apologized and offered us breakfast on the house.
