It was wonderful and relaxing. I would definitely be back. The one thing is that the water leaked out of the shower. Everything else was brilliant.

The reception lady was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is conveniently placed from the convention centres and now provides free parking to guests upon check-in (you have to ask for it though). The wi-fi is extremely expensive and I'd expect free internet from a 5* hotel. Our room was only cleaned by 5pm on the one day - which was a bit late.

Got 3 nights at this hotel for @ £61 a night, best value of any hotel I've stayed in as this was a 5 star luxury hotel. Buffet breakfast was included in the room price and was really good and you could pay for a buffet dinner at night which I would recommend as it was excellent. Staff could not have been more helpful and even let us have a late check out free of charge as well. Shortage of sunbeds at the pool, quite far from the airport and you get the impression it's a beach front hotel but it's a 10 mins walk away.

The size of the room was perfect for us as we have a baby with us and one needs a fairly larger room, plus the rate was excellent, which we could only get through booking.com! Thanks. The breakfast rate was a bit steep, so maybe they could think of lowering the breakfast rate as our rate did not include breakfast.

It has been the best hotel I'v ever been. Neatness, Customer care, Security, Being in the big city, Center of attraction, Close to the beaches, Ushaka Marine, Casino and the best malls. The first 2 days we struglled with the breakfast, we had to pay from our own pockets whereas when we did the booking it was included (Bed & Breakfast), but the matter had been resolved and they repayed us.

The hotel offered creature comforts and is located centrally - not too far from the ocean not too deep into the City. The staff can change their behaviours to be more pleasant, greet first etc...

I liked the personal touch with the slice of birthday cake that was sent to my Mother as it was her birthday. The pool area needs an upgrade - not enough loungers. Pool water colour is not appealing. Breakfast staff could be more attentive. My biggest complaint is that that the Hiton Durban did not honour the reservation in its entirety - booking.com stated that I would have lounge access and this was denied at the hotel because the rate I was booked at was 'too low'.

The temperature inside the hotel was freezing and we couldn't control the temparature inside the rooms. Hence we slept underneath big blankets while it was 30 degrees outside..

Excepional value for money. Very friendly for an international hotel belonging to a group. It was the only hotel we stayed in during our trip and we felt that everybody was treated as a king. The meals were exceptional and with lots of choice on the buffet and the room service. The a la carte menu did noy have a lot of choice if you did not want the buffet meal, especially for anyone who had allergies to certain foods or did not like certain foods.

The friendliness of staff and their willingness to help with luggage or queries. The tidiness of the rooms and they were well supplied with toiletries. The fixtures and finishes were stunning. Breakfast was well catered for by friendly staff. Guests should be given a special coded parking disc, rather than getting a new parking ticket from reception every time you go in and out of the hotel.

“My stay at the Quarters Hotel was fabulous. The staff was really friendly and helpful and most of all, it is not that expensive. The breakfast was awesome and by the presentation of the food on the plate, you can see that the chef took his time and enjoyed making the breakfast for us. It felt like home. My kids and I really enjoyed our stay at the Quarters Hotel and know that whenever we go to Durban to stay, that is the plave that we would be booking. Thank you to the staff of Quarters Hotel for your hospitality, you had a lovely stay.” Romano, Benoni |
