Free Wi-Fi should be provided
All the staff are so genuinely freindly and helpful. The transport service is great, and so are the day tours provided. Very happy stay at the hotel - we stayed 4 nights. Will surely go back.
The choice on the menu were not so great. Too many spicy curry dishes. Also no complimentary bottled water in room.
great breakfast buffet, friendly staff, well equipped gym
In a five star hotel one would expect WIFI incuded in the price of the stay, and for the WIFI to be well functioning, which it is not! The hotel is in a seedy area in town and this although it is within about 500m distance of the beach, it is unsafe to walk anywhere on foot and thus need to taxi or drive everywhere. Overall not good value for money. Rather stay in a well located three or four star hotel, pay less and be in a safer area right on the beach.
Room service was good - food was great
Check in was delayed by an hour - was there at 3 and only got the room at 4
Approachable stuff and very plesent to talk to....
mini fridge took 4/5 days to empty..... I ask every thing in the fridge to be removed.
It was a great visit , staff were great , room was comfortable. Generator backup was incredible
Load shedding , however generator kicked within seconds.
the cleanliness and comfort of the room was appealing. the welcome and help received from the staff.
everything was good. having free wifi would be great
I like the reception from the security guards to the Front Desk , everyone was very friendly and willing to assist. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was scrumptious.
The location of the hotel if perfect, however being close to icc can have a negative effect to the hotel because during our stay there was anc conference at icc which was very noisy we couldn't sleep due to the singing which was done by delegates. Rooms are well designed however the colour(carpet) is worn
Food was terrible. to pay R120 for a lamb curry that was old and cold is madness. very confused and unfriendly staff i was called when i didnt want to be disturbed there wer no towels in the room on the 2nd night
Excellent hospitality and service from all staff . Received a warm welcome by a young lady (cynthia) at reception who assisted with our check in. The standard of service is well worth the money.
Great service and friendly staff
Lack of clean towelsnforn3 nights out of 5
The place and the room
Stuff member service during check in.
Staff were excellent
Was only one gown Was only one pair of slippers Was only one face cloth Coffee, milk etc not replenished - so no coffee in the morning.
The mini bar was a bit expensive and the parking bays in some areas were difficult to manoeuvre in and out from, especially the ones close to the lifts.
Comfort and facilities were very good.
A few lapses in service. For Durban the curry buffet was disappointing
Very very comfortable bed and the linen absolutely fabulous.
For R700 extra for VIP Lounge on the 14th floor. We arrived before 10pm, there was no snacks, the kitchen had cleaned up the tables. The receptionist said the food was finished and got us 3 pieces of cocktail pizza slices each. And boy, were we hungry after arriving we took a nap so when we got up later that evening, we were really hungry. We are teatotalers, so that did not go well. so we had some tea and coffee and we were wanting to report this to reception but we decided we will do it in the morning. After about 45 mins the waiter brings out some more slices of pizza. For that amount of money and that titbit of food, I dont think that was worth it for a hotel like The Hilton. Next time we will not book the vip access lounge.
the food was very good
The room price should at least include parking rate and free at access to Wi-Fi.
Central in City
Prices are a little steep
Hospitality of the staff
There was no flat sheet on the bed, only a duvet. Durban is very hot and humid. Had to take duvet out of cover and use cover as sheet. We were too exhausted to call room service.
hotel room breakfast lounge reception pool
paying for parking as an additional charge aircon in room was low and not working to full or proper capacity
Décor and finesse of Reception hall
Not asked if smoking or non smoking hence initially ended up in smoking floor Nil complementary wifi hHonors partners did not really enjoy enything complementary - quite expensive upgrade
The location, the room size was very spacious, parking for your car, speedy room service, and friendly staff, the iron board and iron.
The breakfast wasn't so halaal friendly and the water from shower doesn't go fast enough down the drain so it overflows onto the floor.
