A bit noisy but logical due to the location.
This is a hip place in a hip location. Felt very safe as a solo traveller . Great food choices right next door
There wasn't anything. I even booked for an extra night later on in my travels.
No fuss but attentive staff. Quiet room at the back with plenty of space.
A good quality room and pleasant staff.
No complaints at all
central location, on-site parking
room did not lock from inside
Everything is great. Spacious and modern rooms, great location, friendly staff. Thumbs up!
Breakfast experience was poor. Service bad, burnt toast..is this because we were from the hotel and not a restaurant walk in? Also cleanliness. Bathroom could use some upkeeping and furniture needs to be cleaned
The staff were insanely accommodating and courteous, and so were the wait staff from the restaurants below! The rooms are spacious, fully equipped with toiletries, linens and even dinnerware for the kitchenette (including a coffee press and real coffee!) The beds are wonderful with plenty of pillows. The wall outlets even have adapters for international plugs- a small detail that makes a huge difference! The restaurants below offer room service and the meals from each are delicious and generous with friendly wait staff.
The wifi cut out a couple times, however the staff were right on the case and fixed the problem very quickly. Excellent service!
Very comfortable bed and beautiful linen. Very clean rooms. Very nice staff.
The car park area was very noisy in the morning and our room was located right near the car park. Also i thought that guests could get into your electric gate parking too easily. No one asked for our name or room number the gate was just opened. There should be stricter monitoring as to who is let in at the gate and perhaps a remote for each guest so one does not have to get out of the car to get to the intercom. Salt and pepper in the kitchenette would be a nice touch.
lovely hotel with good size rooms and comfortable bed. restaurants in walking distance
Great charming hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and large.
Not really a fault of the hotel but the view from our room was of the parking lot, which feels a bit underwhelming when you know there are spectacular views of the mountains hiding right behind it.
-Very big rooms (at least mine was, and it was a standard one) - Even though it seems that the hotel used to be a bunch of small houses reformed to become a unique building, they did it very well, and the rooms are new and modern, especially the bathroom - big shower box - wooden floor, big sofa, big cofee table and big desk - the hotel has 3 different restaurants (italian, mexican and thai food), they are popular and very well frequented, but I did not hear a noise from the room - they have a transfer from/to the airport in a very fair price
- breakfast included has a restricted menu, which was fine for me, but people who like big buffet type of breakfast may not like it. Anyway, the restaurant has more options of food to order, but you would have to pay for it separately. The hot chocolate, for example, is superb.
Location Size of room Restaurant Wifi
Loved the decor, the blinds that can be opened at night time with views of Table Mountain. Locality within the trendy vibe of Cape Town. Mano a Mano restaurant. Safe parking
Blinds were not to clean. Some bulbs didn't work. Toilet roll holder broken. Was our wedding anniversary with no room service for champagne
location and modern
needs a slight revamp as example the toilet seat was loose and there should be more channels available on the TV from DSTV.. for the price there should be real milk available and also maybe other herbal teas not just rooibos and cerlon.. thank you
I like everything about the hotel. Thanks allot.
Staff member on front desk was eximplerary
Wifi constantly dropping out Lack of channel choice on TV
Big room with balcony. Hardwood flooring Very well-lit rooms
Slow Wifi Toilet door couldn't close. A/C turns off by itself.
Location was amazing Staff was great - very helpful and informative
Sewage smell in the room - AWFUL!!!!
Amazing location! Kloof st is the place to stay.
Great and helpfull staff, great setting next to good restaurants and bars, excellent starting point for city walks to Cape Town's main attractions, good neighbourhood to go for an uphill morning run with Table Mountain View. I was allowed to stay a few more hours working in my room for free, because it wasn't too busy on my day of check-out. I'll definitely recommed the Hippo Boutique Hotel!
The fridge was a bit noisy at night...but hey, at least I had a fridge in my room...to keep my beer cool!
Superb location for night life. Limited facility to self cater. Dedicated parking. Helpful staff. Fair price.
Noise intolerant, complaining, neighbouring guest who chooses this hotel in the middle of the most active, vibrant, noisy part of town!!
Bed was comfortable
Aircon wasnt working Room decor was plain High price for average hotel
Our room was almost a self-contained flat. The accommodation was quite comfortable.
Access to the hotel and car park was entirely dependent on someone being on duty ant at their desk - maybe a key-card system would be better. The TV reception was poor.
location, and only that
