The front desk staff were both courteous and understanding considering my comments in what I didn't like about the hotel. It seems that they are left to deal with mistakes made by the back office! The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff in the dining area very efficient. Although rooms are designed for business travellers with little storage space they are kept clean and ours at least was very quiet. This is a big complaint. I don't know who is to blame but Holiday Inn Express Cape Town certainly laid the blame at Bookings.com's feet.In short they had no knowledge of my booking when I called three days prior to my arrival to book an airport transfer. A local friend spoke, eventually, to the manager who made a new booking for us. When we arrived that booking too was not available. The duty receptionist, Ricardo, was very helpful but when he allocated us a room it was found to be used, rumpled bed, towels on floor etc. Eventually although we had booked a twin room we had to accept a double. Although a written complaint was made and emails had passed between us the manager neither bothered to talk to me or respond to same. |

The location was very central, the view from our room was fantastic, very security conscious. Yes, it looks as though we may have been charged twice by the hotel. Once, from my credit card and again when we checked out. This should not have happened and we are now liaising with our credit card company. Any help in this matter would be appreciated. The Hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. The location of the hotel is excellent and it is very close to some of the tourist attractions. |

Staff always ready to help. We feel like at home and the shopping centres are walking distance. Not particularly, a microwave must be provided in the room. |

You can easily hear the noise of the elevator system from the rooms which are close to it. Other than that, the room service and the continental breakfast were very nice. |

We wanted a central position, to 'feel' the City atmosphere; as well as sightsee, and visit family. I had visited Johannesburg on numerous occasions for work, and was curious re Cape Town. We were not disappointed! For the length of our stay, more hanging space would have been useful. |

hotel is very nice, clean and bathrooms and rooms are equipped with latest amenities. building and lifts are excellent. real value of money. location is not ideal for tourists. all the time you have to take taxi for shopping or sightseeing and even to go to waterfront. |

The location of the Holiday Inn Express Cape Town City Center is perfect for a city trip. It's close to most of Cape Town's points of interest. Walking distance to the V&A Waterfront. Hotel does not accept reservations for private parking. Private parking for cars and motorcycles is based on "first come, first served" scheme. Could be bothersome, since the hotel is located in the city center of Cape Town ... (was not an issue for me, I've got space in the underground parking) |

The breakfast was great. We did'nt like the suburb we arrived 11 o clock at night and felt unsave. Our car also was parked outside because your garage was full. |

It was centrally situated within easy walking distance of restaurants and city sites. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were modern and spacious and ours on the fifteeenth floor had views of Table Mountain. Breakfast was sustantial and set us up for the a day sightseeing. Would stay there again when we return. |
