Located footsteps from the Gautrain Train Station, the Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel has well-designed rooms with flat-screen TVs. It has an outdoor pool and a fitness center.

Score from 325 reviews Good
I like the location of the Holiday Inn as it is walking distance to the Gautrain Station at Sandton and close to Sandton City Shopping Center and Mandela Square
I stay at this hotel frequently and have noticed that the maintenance of the rooms is not very good; lose shower head bracket, missing door hook, difficult to close shower door. In the restaurant, even though service is friendly, it is inattentive
only the location, but there are other nearby similiar hotels at lower rates !!
unfriendly and unprofessional reception staff. During check-in , receptionist stopped many times to anwser other inquiries from guests and outside phone calls, without notice of me who is standing infront.
I got billed twice for the same stay.
Service at breakfast was not good.... Had to ask for cutlery, salt, table to be cleaned etc. Also, purposefully booked a room with a bath in the bathroom and then was told I would have to upgrade if I wanted a bath! Hotel staff check in staff blamed Booking.com for this discrepancy.... Apparently it has happened quite often!
The buffet dinner was great and the bed too comfortable
There is a shuttle service from the hotel to the train station nearby, which is really helpful
The area is not walkable at all, does not feel safe. The hotel staff is rude and careless, except for the concierge. The room was not clean: the windows were dirty, the door was smeared and in general the furniture looked old and used. The decor is a bit depressing. There is a big construction area nearby which is only starting so watch out! Overpriced and not good.
Had tour starting from this hotel hence why I stayed but location was convenient from airport.
On check in I was asked for a swipe of my credit card which is standard for any hotel I have stayed in, however ZAR 4,000 was charged to my card & despite not running up any additional charges to room this was not refunded to me on checking out of room & hotel have lied about refunding it to me since. A very unhappy & frustrated guest!! Also had issues with late check out & housekeeping which tainted my last day in S.Africa
The porter who carried my bags to my room and showed me how to work everything. I love him. I love the lady at the reception, the room service lady and young gentleman from room service as well. Just all so wonderful and polite. Everyone was just so incredibly friendly they all deserve a big hug or a huge pat on the back
I really really hated the fact that I had to leave!!!!
Waited for barservice more than 45 minutes. No wines which were stated on wineliste were available. Restaurant a disaster. Dinner Rump steak looked like a minute steak and tasted like fish. Potatoes were old and tasted liked it looked. The chef does not know how to prepare food. Rooms are not to clean at all - long hair in bathroom as well as in bedroom.
Good location surrounded by the Gautrain, shopping, restaurants. Happy and supporting staff.
Nothing to say.
room size, breakfast though limited options but good quality.
Gym, ammonites in the room.
Located 10 minute walk from "Gautrain" Station. Hourly shuttle to Nelson Mandela square which will also pick up and drop off at Gautrain station
Very soft bed. No top sheet just duvet which was too warm.
Shuttle service, Facilities inside the Hotel, room design
short variety of juices and cheeses among others for breakfast, and some of the staff was not very friendly.
I requested earlier check-in as my flight arrived JNB at earlier morning. The hotel requested me to pay extra money from 10 am to 1 pm , otherwise , no room available. That means they had the room but not release to the customers.
My debit card was put on hold and was never released
Nice, clean room. Bar, wifi, breakfast and room service were all fine. Good location and a shuttle up to the Gautrain station every hour. No complaints at all.
The service is good staff is friendly
Food especially supper.
I travel very offen to Johannesburg. stayed at least 5-6 times in Holiday İnn but the quality of the services are decreasing very quick. the breakfast is getting worse and the Hygenic situation in the hotel is not as before. the spoons, forks and knifes are not even washed well.
It is good location.
Next building is under construction. It's very nosiy. You had better avoid this hotel till the construction will finish.
- Excellent value for money!! - very friendly staff, always attentive - great breakfast buffet - hotel is in great condition and standard. not comparable to the lower standard of Holiday Inns in Europe - every hour is a free shuttle to Nelson Mandela Square, ca 5min drive - they have an Executive Lounge - it is possible to extend your stay through an hourly rate for up to 6 hrs - nice little gym - quiet and comfortable rooms - there was a woman in distress in a neighbour room, which I reported, and the security staff dealt with it promptly, efficient and discretely
- Food in restaurant sometimes took too long
Receptionists and others are very friendly.
In case of extending the stay, price should be considered the same as the previous days.
Friendly personnel, good location
Very loud after 7 am due to a long term construction right next to the hotel, poor breakfast and big problems with internet.
Too little staff so we had to sit and wait for someone to serve you at dinner. The TV was not working and had to wait for 1and half hours before maintenance arrived. Ran out whiskey glasses. Whilst been served by the barman the manager came and told him to go and fetch someone's food so I had to wait. This is very different to the last time I stayed at the same hotel. Why do I have to pay R40.00 parking if I'm booked into the Hotel for the night. Thanks. Gavin Minnaar.
