Score from 18 reviews Wonderful
The cottage was super-cozy. We felt very much at home. Very clean. The setting is awesome. Will def. book this again!
There was nothing that dissatisfied us.
Constantia is the perfect base to visit Cape Town and the Western Cape. The chalet style accomodation are perfectly equipped and cleaned every day and the surroundings are magnificent ! Huge gardens for kids to run around as well as the play ground and a large pool. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend !
Pool and pool area should be maintained and cleaned more often as its a wonderful sunny spot with amazing views !
The area is very quiet and we were able to truly relax and unwind.
With the previous visit they provided some coffee, tea and sugar, but this time there was nothing.
Beatiful, Friendly staff, safe
The kids play area need some maintenance
Clean and tranquil accommodation. We loved it.
cottage was just refurbished, quite nice. we had a wonderful stay.
Good clean, pleasant, secure place to explore Cape Town from.
I liked the hospitality by means of the tv been switch on upon arrival, the main bedroom been warmed with air con. The safety awareness with each unit having its own alarm system made us feel safe.
The evenings were quite cold and I missed a fireplace ...
Well appointed stone cottages in a picturesque setting, providing all modern conveniences. Good beds and linen!
Lack of railing at front entrance, and from parking area, up to the cottages, where the stone tends to be slippery in wet weather.
Warm comfortable cottage, close to wine farms restaurants shopping centres and Noordhook.
The steep stairs in the cottage, and the dangerous steps with no hand rail up to the cottage.
Area is beautiful
Maybe coffee / tea / sugar in units - even though they are self catering. These are what you are longing for after a long travel.....
Location and seclusion
Very relaxing atmosphere surrounded by nature with springbok and guinea fowls roaming free. A tennis court, kids play area and swimming pool kept us active. Cottage has an alarm system to keep your valuables safe when out and about and entrance security guards are vigilant, doing nightly patrols of the perimeter and enquiring before allowing access to guests/visitors. Day guests/visitors are welcome when you want to have a barbeque or get together. Clean towels, toilet paper and cleaning service are provided without charge. Shop for groceries and toiletries before you arrive, and perhaps a kettle if you are sensitive to water scum and discoloration inside the electric kettle provided.
No storage space for storing your groceries. The electric kettle had water scum and discoloration on the element and it seemed dirty.
scenic grounds... trnquil location
total absence of any facilities in the cottage ... what would it cost to leave a bottle of water or sachet of coffee?... in addition fresh (unused) soap would be a good idea for each guest
Very relaxed place with spectacular views and springbok and guinea fowl roaming free. Great terrace with barbecue. Skysports tv package. Gated community so safe.
Could provide a few more basics such as shampoo, soap and some kitchen cleaning items and condiments. Nothing major.
This is our second visit - we love the setting and the location, with lots of trees, some birds and animals, and a swimming pool. Staff friendly and security good. Privacy of cottages also good.
The cottages themselves could do with better maintenance and updating. Bathrooms were badly in need of refurbishing; (no 2); upstairs twin room inadequate for adult couple, no plugs and furniture hemmed in and loose noisy fan.
Swimming pool Wandering buck
Bed was shocking. We slept on the floor the first night. The estate manager was kind enough to bring a new bed the next night, but sadly the style of mattress was not good for the back. Upon check in, I was overcharged and when I questioned this, it was remedied, but I felt uncomfortable with the manner in which the scenario unfolded.
We loved the solitude of the location, in a forest, nice and quiet. Lovely location.
- No Hot Water when we arrived at 18:00 - by 09:15 the following morning there was still no hot water. We were told to go get ready in another unit - how inconvenient! Bedding had not been changed before we checked in - it was filthy - pillows had dirty marks on them and did not smell clean at all. Although being self catering - tea, coffee and sugar was not available until we asked for it.
