Situated on the Garden Route, Burrough Place is on the main road through George city, with large garden and view of mountains. Golf Course, Redberry Farm, CBD and multiple beaches are in the vicinity....

Score from 124 reviews Good
Incompetent check in staff. Shower that did not work during entirety of 4 days stay. Attitude if manager was pathetic and was not willing to compensate for the inconveniences at all. Water damage in ceiling of the room. Bathroom door handle was broken.
One of our five rooms was the presidential suite and it was really beautiful. Amazing views. Your guides and outside staff have excellent service.
Service level still need some improvements.
I love the view and the setting of the hotel.
Excellent room with great view. Superb golf course. Fantastic beach 5 minutes away by car.
Bath tub water pressure and water not very clean.
We have travelled extensively, both local and abroad. This hotel was not known to me, and surprised me with service and facilities which I've come to expect in Las Vegas.
Just looking a bit dated.
Good location for the golf course. Everyone very helpful. Excellent selection at breakfast - though the breakfast area can get full and noisy.
The food was really good. The staff were so very unfriendly something you don't get very often. I have to mention Maxwell, La La and Lonwabo as being exceptional!
Everything , great food, rooms ,golf course .played Arabella Pezula and Simola but this was the best. Ask to go to the whale viewing deck for the most fabulous views.
More dining facilities
professional staff. comfortable rooms, lovely facilities. beautiful views overlooking the Southern Cape. Well recommended
Not great coffee in the room. Even a small plunger will be better than stale nescafe packets. Staff only came at 4 pm to clean my room. Wiring of TV was exposed.
It was very nearly the best hotel I've visited. Beautiful setting. Friendly staff. Great food.
On arrival we were offered a room upgrade, and it was the best hotel room we have ever stayed in, included free club perks and was worth every penny! The golf course was so inviting, a pity we didn't have our clubs.
Breakfast was not great
Peaceful and relaxing hotel
95 % of the staff was great, helpful and nice to talk to, but there were a few with a lousy attitude
Location was wat we expected, the hotel was clean and the bed really comfortable.
Everything: Reception messed up our reservation, room in basement without view although alternative rooms were available. It is a control freak compound including several watch towers with cameras. Empty minibar, complicated formalities for breakfeast access,
Food at lake side restaurant
distance to vehicle No information at the desk or in room about activities(spa) Very very bad service at breakfast - some of the customers did not even get food, no butter, empty buckets
Nice view- upstairs clean room very nice swimming area
Hotel is beautiful with a lovely view
Atmosphere and soul
We found the staff to be a little bit too laid back and slow for a 5 star hotel. We waited for ages to be served in the restaurant at dinner time. We also wanted to have a drink before dinner but we had to go outside in the rain to get to the club house in order to do this.
The room was enormous and well equiped. The hotel was very clean. We liked the little pre dinner canapes that were available to eat and the fact you could sit and have a drink outside of your room.
A few nights before coming to Oubaai, we stayed at Arabella Hotel & Spar, also a 5 star hotel. When comparing these two hotels, Oubaai Hotel is definitely overrated. The general quality of service delivery and the quality of the the food (breakfast and dinner) at Oubaai does not come close to that of Arabella. At Oubaai, you pay extra if you want to use the Spa, at Arabella, it's complimentary!
What a beautiful environment! The rooms were comfortable, the staff competent and friendly.
Our bar fridge was not stocked. It is suppose to be a 5 star hotel and should be stocked. Staff service is very poor. Maintenance of the hotel is poor. Lunch was poor. Wedsite is offline - we sent an e-mail to be collected at the airport, no-one turned up and we had to hire a taxi. We will not return to Oubaai
Room design is nice. Location is good
Being spoilt to the ultimate on our one-night honeymoon stay.
The room facilities, the quality of restaurants and the service
Had a great family holiday
