Great location Good transport links Convenient services
it was a great start to our family holiday we stayed in the three bedroom apartment which was great, lots of space for everyone. Close to shops and activities. All the staff were very welcoming. If we ever come back to the Cape we would love to stay here again
professionalism of staff excellent environment neat and clean place your place is central, next to airport , and major stores
limited Tv programmes, especially for childrem
Location is good
No air con in bedrooms. Very noisy city in the evening. No washing machine. Seats at pool area broken. People using gym do not wipe down equipment after use, this must be enforced through clearer signage or to be supervised.
The reception staff's attitude. Poor communication skills.
Excellent beds and good quality linen good kitchen very good bathroom with strong shower modern USB friendly TV good cleaning staff
noisy location noisy fellow guests wind whistled through windows building very high - didnt like the 11th floor very old and worn sofa in living room - very uncomfortable
Location and the rooms. Sandile and the rest of the frontline staff quite helpful.
Stench of cigarettes in the apartment and only 3 pots for cooking. Cleaning very substandard. Couch reeked of cigarettes and was dirty with iron burn marks. Rest of the chairs very dirty with marks
I like the whole setup inside
The door at 1902 needs some proper work, it got a hole in it. The smell of damp walls at basement level 2.
we had to wait a while before we got our key as there was only 2 staff on duty but a whole lot of people needed to check in... we had 1 towel in room. when I came back down to reception to ask for parking there was no one there..i waited for about 20 mins then left and later that evening I called...
apartment closer to everything, the waterfront and the ICC even virgin active which i was able to visit.
1.when we che checked in there was no trolley we had to carry our own luggage from the basement.. 2. there was this car which kept using our parking bay we complained at the reception but they didnt do anything it
No aircon in bedroom
Views and space in the apartment.
Kitchen poorly stocked and in this price bracket one would expect better. Not enough lifts/elevators.
Could they have bought cheaper furnishings? I doubt it. Not a patch on the Circa and no breakfast included. Very poor value. Like student digs.
Very affordable, clean, spacious, friendly staff. Within walking distance of Artscape Theatre. Shuttle to Airport and V&A Waterfront.
West facing rooms can be hot, ask for East facing.
good size of living room
noisy. lack of some basic amenities. had some hidden costs. not enough internet time. S dstv poor
The apartment was beautiful, clean an in a great location
Noisy neighbor, playing techno music at 6 in the morning, although I called reception twice and they sent security it did not stop
Icon was in a great location and was a really great value. The accommodations were spacious. The staff was helpful when requests were made.
The wifi was very spotty, limited and slow. Also, for a 3 bedroom place with 5-6 people, there were only 2 keys available, which were required to get into the elevator and garage as well. It would have been nice to have had at least 3 sets of keys to use.
Location in downtown Capetown, easy walking to the V&A, secure closed parking, quality/equipment/space/cleanliness of the (1-bed) apartment, food-lovers market on the ground floor (affordable supermarket/deli combination with fresh hot/cold buffet), despite normal 11am checkout, we were able to make use of the pool area and shower in the gym prior to our midnight return flight (note no hairdryer/towels/shower gel, so ...plan/borrow ahead)
Don't let this list stop you from staying but do note: Lobby is more of a no-frills security desk than reception, our 1-bed apartment (613) had no internal phone so you have to use your mobile or go downstairs, cable TV constantly losing signal, internet connection in room only by the door entrance and each time we lost the signal we had to log in again using the (500MB limit) code provided (in short internet experience a pain in the backside and reception guys say that's the way it is), bedroom lacks airco, pool area has insufficient sunbeds, there is a large construction site next door which starts at 07.30 so bring earplugs. Sea facing does not mean sea view. Land facing means partial view of Signal Hill.
Reception staff. Good safe parking.
A little grubby in parts. Public corridors had a bad smell to them. Lock on front door to apartment did not appear very secure.
Location very good and apartment nice and clean.
Very, very noisy
As a frequent guest, I choose Icon for its location and facilities. The staff at reception is very professional and always helpful.
Stayed in the 3 bedroom penthouse. Very spacious apartment and stunning views. Staff very friendly. Will be booking in there again in near future..
Had problem when departing underground parking as boom dropped on back end of car. Not sure if sensor working correct but was a bit p*****d off at security guard who just stood there laughing..
The staff asked for my drivers licence and never returned it. Two weeks later they didnt even contact me to let me know its there.
The kitchen is well equipped and allow us to make supper for ourselves every evening and make sure we can accommodate our special diets. The staff is also very accommodating.
The flat are not service on Sunday and no provision is made in the unit to have extra towels, soaps or garbage bag.....
The apartment was the perfect accommodation for our trip It was safe and secure - easy to lock and go and really well located being at the bottom of Long Streer it was close to the parties but not that close that the parties disturbed our stay. It was clean and spacious enough and beats a hotel room any day - It was great we had creature comforts like a tv, balcony and fridge to stock our own food and drinks - this made our stay very comfortable The staff were exceptionally friendly and always ready to help :) thank you for the wonderful stay!
there was not a single thing we did not like about the apartments A suggestion may be to allow guests to utilise the pool in the evening but other than that it was sheer perfection
