Everything as it should be in a location that provided total tranquility and a spa that offered a range of treatments including massages ranging from sleepy to deep which I can vouch found all the knots!
Can't think of anything......
Beautiful setting. Comfortable bed.Lovely room.
It is very expensive and we would expect more for our money. Bed and breakfast for that price would be fair.
Location cleanliness and staff are friendly.
The staff were exceptional! The setting outstanding. Absolutely loved our stay!!!
The rooms large and comfortable.
Mini bar was not stock and only hot chocolate and tea available in room, no coffee. Ate their dinner and lunch and during both sittings the meat ordered was incorrect. Were a large group for lunch, orders were mixed up and manager seemed nervous. Waiting period for food at dinner sitting, took exceptional long especially given few customers in the restaurant. Ordered a second bottle of wine, and staff poured into same glass mixing wine from previous bottle. For some dishes items promised on menu were not on the plate. Definitely will not recommend having dinner/lunch at the on-site restaurant.
The comfort of the rooms and the location and view.
The food is definitely not worth the money and it is always the same. A great pity as it would be so nice not to have to leave the hotel to go out to eat as everything is so perfect
Friendliness of staff
Anelie, at the reception desk was a delight. She was knowledgeable and helpful and went out of her way to make sure any concerns were dealt with in a courteous and expeditious manner. The grounds and the birds were great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We felt secure and safe.
We thought the food in the dining room was extraordinarily expensive by South African standards and dinners and lunches were substandard quality. We did not appreciate being charged a 24% surcharge whenever the staff "booked" us a tour or a transportation. We found Ulysses Transport very expensive as well and had to search out our own transportation for our party of 8 to go off the property to eat and tour. There were no facilities for the 8 and 12 year old girls who were travelling with us and they were not allowed in the spa which meant that none of us were able to attend the spa.
A desk clerk named, Anelie, was especially helpful. She Should be in Management as she is personable, intelligent, insightful and efficient. I would also compliment the staff in the restaurant and the bell service, especially Deon!
We thought the room rates were on the high side as was the cost of the buffet in the restaurant. We didn't like the 24% surcharge on aervices booked through the hotel. ie tours and taxi service. We found Ulyses transport expensive.
everything there was superb. travel on business each year, 1st time here, will certainly return
Staff committed to serving customers regardless of their core function.
Food good but maybe more choices for dinner. Also braai in evening would give more of a 'bush' experience.
The rooms are fabulous and the beds very comfortable and the view wonderful.
For the price you pay the restaurant should be better quality for your money. We are regular guests and we have always had poor food in the restaurant for dinner... It's sad because we love your hotel but now choose to eat elsewhere. It would be great not to have to drive anywhere.
we booked for 2 night and stay 1 hour.We booked for a relax weekend it was last long weekend, when we arrived the reception was perfect the gif information and want to help with everything.but when we go to the spa it was a bad very bad the lady gif some information but she was not friendly and tell use that for treatments we must booked 1 week before (this is not on the site off the spa).when we said her that we travel all over the world and many times go to spa hotel and never heard this she said this is here the role .But she give the menu at we went back to the bar where we looked in the menu to see what we can do.then we went to the kids club because we have a boy from 9 ,he can not go to the spa so we asked the lady what time the club open on monday it was a long family weekend and she said no we open from friday till sunday so we went to the reception and asked how was this possible on a long family weekend they try helping use but for use the weekend was not the relax weekend we want anymore We live in hyde park sand ton so we go home because i am not pay my money to sleep in a hotel when my family and kid can do nothing so it was a very bad weekend for use we still waiting for any words off the manager .

Staff friendliness & willing to help. Extension of check out. In room dining. Quiet & relaxing atmosphere. Mouth watering breakfast.
