Please provide telephones in rooms. What happens in case of emergency ? How does a guest communicate with the hotel. I found that very inconveniencing.
The bed was comfortable
The bed had some insects that were biting, my wife developed some bite sores and were aching. I recommend regular fumigation of the rooms...
The room for the massage is quite basic and not so clean, so that's something they can improve.
We needed somewhere close to Pilanesberg National Park to stay. the location is ideal for access to the park. The facilities are good. We also like the Boer war memorabilia and Rhodes memorial as we are avid history fans.
Game safari driver Sam was the best... location perfect... welcome was amazing inc welcome drinks.. thank you Farai.. Being F1 fans we wanted to watch SS6 and they made it happen.. breakfast had an awesome variety....BEAUTIFUL TRANQUIL PLACE... perfect if you want to go to Sun City
The furniture in the room needs abit of mordernisation, its falling apart. No bath tub in the room..
Best place to learn about the Anlgo Boer War.
Better seats to eat at Heroes Bar
staff friendly and helpful choice of eating venue, restaurant or bar. general atmosphere clientele
maintenance of room
Beautiful setting. Beautiful buildings and decor. History. Game (antelope) visiting lawns. Value. Eco treetop walk.
Beautiful tranquil setting. We especially enjoyed Sam who took us on the game drive. The room was very nice and we enjoyed the privacy.
We had a very bad experience on Saturday night in the bar. The service was poor (we waited an hour for drinks and two hours for food) and when the food eventually arrived, it was so cold that we were not charged for it.
Friendly staff! Food was good, although a bit expensive for a portion on the smaller side of usuall south african portions. Somehow they did not get the booking that was done through this Homepage, there was space available and within 5 minutes everything was sorted.
This place must have been very nice a while back... You can see things are used and worn... Doors need extra push and have gaps, pool needs a new coat of paint, Gardens could look a bit more maintained, memorabilia dusty...
staff were so friendly and welcoming, always willing to assist. Food is good and healthy. Would recommend this place anytime especially if you want to have a feel of nature. Thanks ti David, his service was soo appreciated
Breakfast was a wide selection of foods Complimentary toiletries were of good quality The room size was big enough for us and the children. There was enough space for all of us, we did not feel cramped
Staff were wonderful, setting is beautiful
The bedding was not clean, there was a mouse that had nested in our room, and at 11pm at night, there was nowhere to go. Fortunately a guest had not arrived and they could move us for the night. The breakfast was sub standard for a 4 star. DSTV variety was dismal. And I had to walk to reception as the only way to contact reception was walking there are calling from my phone. had to wake my mother at 11pm to move to a new room. After reception offered to go into the room and try to catch the mouse?
Friendly Staff Good Service Beautiful Grounds Comfotable Rooms Good Atmosphere Location
Not a lot of vergetarian food options...
Quiet, relaxing and a great breakfast.
Internet access not available in every room as i had been led to believe
Everything mutch very inpress
A lovely piece of African History that is well worth the visit, and such a lovely, peaceful setting
It was a true bush-type breakaway without compromising comfort. Great balance between the two.
The absence of a heated swimming pool.
The staff is really friendly and very helpful. They went the extra mile to ensure that we're comfortable. From Thandi at reception; the gentlemen at the bar; Paul in the dining area and the lady behind the frying area if I can mention a few. THANK YOU!! The place was very clean and breakfast was great. I would certainly come back.
I was woken up by traffic noise. It seems like the unit we were booked in was not far from the road.
breakfast was great. the staff were very helpful and accommodating. the accommodation was lovely.
the dinner buffet was not very nice. the meat was tough.
Buffet Dinner was disappointing for the price that was being charged.
The rooms are spatious, comfortable and nicely arranged. The place is well managed and the personnel is very friendly.
Within the old houses which have three rooms each, sound travels well ! It is as if you were sleeping with your neighbour. You can even hear him turning in his sheets... You also hear the trucks from the mining companies passing on the main road throughout the night.
I got engaged at the lodge and the staff and management bent over backwards to make it the most memorable ever. The river side suite was exquiset so was the food and service. The spa is the cherry in the cake, being resonable priced and very good. Thanks Again you will be seeing me again SOON!!
Location, venue and gardens beautiful.
Our room had no privacy, you could hear people sneeze in the next room. It had a rat that we saw and heard running up and down all night. Our shower was blocked. Services advertised where not available (reflexology).
The decor in the public areas, the country location and the helpfulness of staff
The buffet items had not been replenished which limited our choice and affected the quality of the food available
