Room/ bathroom was nice and clean and tidy. Aircon and full DSTV. Proximity to all activities/ location as it is in the heart of the CBD. Room very small. No elevator, if one has a lot of luggage, it becomes a real challenge as there was no staff to assist with luggage.

The place was clean and comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was good as was the restaurant - I would highly recommend the Ethiopian food. Great location for sightseeing. Can be a bit noisy at the weekends

Sufficient enough for those who prefer the convenient, central location where is within waling distance to/from sightseeing spots in Citybowl and 20 min walk or 10 min / ZAR50 by taxi from Waterfront area in daytime. Close to Long St which is well secured even at night. I surely recommend this if someone is not demanding on hotel facilities. No frills can be expected; minimum facilities and breakfast provided. If you won't expect "4-star hotel facility", then you'll get satisfied with this hotel. (Actually this is not a 4-star hotel at all but just a B&B with ensuited shower.) Wifi signal is not strong enough to be caught in rooms but you can get it in public areas.

The price was reasonable for a four star hotel. Have questions in my mind as to whether the rating is correct. It is certainly not of the same standard as Cape Sun which is a four star. The food from the restuarant was not of the standard expected for a four star hotel. The music played from the restuarant/bar area was loud and unbearable. It was at times difficult to sleep at night because of the noise from outside. Parking is not in the same building and I imagine will not be adequate if the hotel is fully booked.

Nice location with friendly staffs. By the way, you will enjoy the bar inside the hotel, except for a bit noise. The room is too small...

Decent pillows; nice hot shower (at night); comfy big bed; breakfast was until 11h00 so we didn't have to wake at the crack of dawn to be on time; I accidentally left my jacket in the upstairs bar at night & it was put away for me to collect after breakfast Cold low-pressure shower (in morning); bathroom needed a little tlc

Location No parking Broken windows Stuffy smell Dirty carpets Dirty couches in restaurant Noise level inside and outside Dirty tablecloths-after I pointed it out to the staff that my glass wat sticking to the tablecloth, I was merely offered another glass. Smell of cigarette smoke in the non-smoking areas of the hotel. There was a situation in the restaurant one night (potential bar fight) right behind me and staff were not doing anything to diffuse the situation. Very dirty walls in walkways and stairs. My room key had to be recallibrated four times during my stay as it did not always work. Not enough hot water for all guests. Windowsils and windows in rooms dirty. No extra blankets in rooms.

The location in the City center. The price. The Friday night entertainment. The attitude of the staff. The slowness of service due mostly to lack of training of the Ethiopian waiters. The unresponsiveness of reception. Lack of knowledge of what to do in the case of a maintainance problem by junior staff members. My day was ruined by a cold shower that would have been rectified. The manager blamed me for it. The smoking room is secluded but open so the smoke spreads all over. All in all, we are not going back there.

Its hospitality and a welcoming attitude of the staff. I would like to single out Molelekeng, the receptionist, she walked an extra mile to ensure that my stay was perfect.

I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Very friendly staff, comfortable stay, very good restaurant with excellent Ethiopian food. The hotel is in the city centre and one can walk everywhere - no local transport needed. I will definitely visit again and recommend it to friends and colleagues.

its at the right location, they got a nice reasturant that serve nice traditional meals. the stuff are not friendly at all, fram the receptionist traight to the cleaner, the waiter who was serving us breakfast on our first morning was purely rude, didn't ask if you want tea or coffe he just brings what he thinks you want, same as breakfast, they need more training in customer service shame.

Jewel in the rough. Decor is really stunning. Rooms luxurious. Breakfast was soft on the pallet. Location is great. Will definitely recommend to family and friends, even though I have a few dislikes. Staff denitely not 4 star. Didn't feel like a guest checking into a 4 star hotel. Cleaner walking around with her cleaning gear while guests are having breakfast. Definite no no!!!! Walls in reception area and hallways need painting. Toiletseat in Room 107 not fitted properly, was loose. "Tiles" on ceiling has gaps. Bathroom tiles on floor loose.

Very good location in central cape town - Walking distance to main train & bus stations. On bus routes eg to Waterfront. Near Green Market square, parliament, company gardens & museums. Also, near many pubs, night-clubs, restaurants etc. ROOMS Adequate size, decent tv, modern revamped bathrooms(but no bathtub?), window onto quiet street, spotlessly clean & comfortable STAFF Helpful & friendly RESTUARANT Decent breakfast, also good al a carte menu, draught beer available IN SUMMARY = GOOD value for money, especially when "special" available.
