Shower cubicle which was small and showerhead could not be adjusted. No fridge in room. Although swimming pool available, this was not exclusive to guests or even by the accommodation. Owners wives who ran the accommodation, not visible and left everything to manageress.
Location on a wine estate. Sympathetic conversion of old buildings and period furniture. Best home-made meusli ever. Lovely staff.

We really enjoyed our stay at Knorhoek. Breakfast was excellent, the staff extremely friendly and helpful and the location was even more beautiful than a picture from a fairly tale.

There was nothing not to like.
The absolutely fantastic food. Nothing was too much trouble and Lance, the fifth generation of the family, was charming. We never felt anything other than very welcome guests.

The wine tasting. The manager had experience of working at Villa Maria in NZ. We have been there and you would not entertain having a wine tasting without something to clear the palate even if only cheese crackers! There was nothing forthcoming to our request. The paperwork provided by guest house indicated that tastings would cost 20 Rand and could be offset (redeemed) against purchase of wine above 50 rand. The manager argued about this even though the wording was clear and we got nowhere. 20 Rand is not a lot but the principle involved of delivering what is in print is significant. We had a take it or leave it approach with little customer focus. Pity!
Fantastic location and excellent facilities. Loved the evening meal and the chef who p[referred to call herself a cook! The food was worthy of top class restaurant so no need to describe oneself as a cook!

Family room was up stairs and had low windows, a bit risky for a toddler..
Knorhoek guesthouse is located in a beautiful green setting against the mountains, absolutely breathtaking. Staff are friendly and catered especially to my baby... the rooms are immaculately clean.. will definitely recommend to others

The pool was dirty and unmaintained

Rooms were a bit dark, the TV in the top right corner not tilted, so that it was hard to watch TV... Breakfast was ok, however, the juice wasn't (instant/powder?).
Staying on a wine estate was special with all the history, old furniture and the beautiful landscape surrounding the estate. The staff was friendly and welcomed us with a glass of delicious rosé. the rooms give you the feeling you're really staying on a farm.

The room was great. We also ate at the restaurant in site. The food was excellent. The b&b had everything on premises. Unfortunately we had only one night to stay but I could have stayed a week there.

Beautiful location and wonderful facilities.

The pool was disappointing. It had lots of leaves in it, so that we were put off from swimming.
Staying on the vineyard and drinking the estate wines with an excellent dinner - after a sampling session in the tasting house. The hosts (are also the owners) create a wonderfully friendly environment.
