The pool was dirty and unmaintained
Staying on a wine estate was special with all the history, old furniture and the beautiful landscape surrounding the estate. The staff was friendly and welcomed us with a glass of delicious rosé. the rooms give you the feeling you're really staying on a farm.
Rooms were a bit dark, the TV in the top right corner not tilted, so that it was hard to watch TV... Breakfast was ok, however, the juice wasn't (instant/powder?).
The room was great. We also ate at the restaurant in site. The food was excellent. The b&b had everything on premises. Unfortunately we had only one night to stay but I could have stayed a week there.
Great staff, owner present ... Great bedding, old charm.... Nice breakfast. They have a fantastic Oaked Chenin ..... All in all, I will come back!
Weak, old style South African coffee. No decaf available !
nestled away from the main road with great views and close to some fantastic wineries fully contained private cottage the swimming pool the dog towerbosch restaurant
the restaurant is only open for lunch however they guest house do offer a dinner menu so you don't go hungry
A family run establishment a short drive out of Stellenbosch. Very friendly staff. Good dinner. Relaxed working wine farm which is nice to explore.
Superb set menu dinner
Nice cottage with plenty of room. Perfect location only a few minutes drive from Stellenbosch.
Great staff. Lovely place and rooms + breakfast.
Beautiful location and wonderful facilities.
Staying on the vineyard and drinking the estate wines with an excellent dinner - after a sampling session in the tasting house. The hosts (are also the owners) create a wonderfully friendly environment.
The pool was disappointing. It had lots of leaves in it, so that we were put off from swimming.
Beautiful setting, serenity, not far from Town centre but real country feel.
Location excelent for travel in the peninsula Very friendly and helpful staff!!! The wine - Out of this world!
The Towerbosch restaurant is only open for lunch!!
Quietness, friendly reception, air-conditioning, location.
Bath was not cleaned in 3 nights accommodation. Less than clean dish cloth and sponge in kitchen. No water bottle in fridge. No maps or literature about area in the accommodation.
Absolutely everything. Warm welcome, peaceful surroundings, quaint cottages with comfortable beds and good décor. Loved the front door, sash windows, brass doorknobs and light switches. The cottages were fully booked but there was no noise. Secure parking also a big plus. We will definitely return for a longer stay.
Early check out early to get to the airport on time.
Amazing place in the middle of nowhere, great view and lovely staff!
WONDERFUL!!!! We had a brilliant stay here in Lilac Cottage. It was an idyllic setting. We slept wonderfully, the beds were so comfortable and the little touches such as a hard and soft pillow were fantastic. The staff were so friendly and they have some great wines. I wish we had stayed longer. I would recommend this to anyone young or old. They have a nice private pool and are close to the beautiful Stellenbosch. Our children loved the gardens and dogs. All in all one of the best places we stayed in South Africa.
Amazing setting, very friendly staff. Dogs!
Swimming pool didn't look very appealing, rather murky.
We have had a taste of heaven - such a romantic setting, wonderful, friendly staff, clean rooms with good showers and very comfortable beds - we loved every minute of our stay at Knorhoek and will be booking to spend many more weekends there as it is good value for money. We had a great experience - great friends, good food, excellent wines and stunning setting!
The staff, dogs and facilities were great. Rooms were very spacious.
A bit away from places to see. There were ants scattered in different places in our room, perhaps just the humidity because the room seemed clean...
wonderful location, loved the balcony
bed was very hard
Very nice rooms with a nice balcony, welcome wine, great bath tub, Dinner was amazing, good breakfast
Setting is lovely Have stayed here before with no problems so would recommend
Arranged slightly early check in which did not happen Key got stuck in the door at 3am on our return from a wedding.only my McGivor husband managed to unscrew the lock with a pocket knife which was damaged in the process. If my daughter and myself were on our own we would have slept in the admission lounge! Cold water wash for towels.....no I brought my own
Absolutely amazing and breathtaking. I would go back in a heartbeat!
