Knysna Country House  

Our hosts Erik & Yppie were absolutely lovely during our stay and probably the most helpful guest house owners we have had the pleasure of staying with. The location of the guest house was perfect for travelling around Knysna. The facilities were great and we only wish we had more time to stay there.

No complaints from us, it was a lovely venue with lovely hosts.

Breakfast was very good, it would be nice though for you to be able to choose how you want your eggs done, two days in a row of scrambled eggs. Lovely Pool and the family room we had was fantastic worked very well for all of us. Also they where fantastic in giving our daughter and her husband the honeymoon suite. Which was wonderful.

The distance away from Resturants, shops and the beach its quiet far away and you do need a vehicle to get around.

I like Knysna

Firstly, as I walked into my room, I saw that the tv is not working properly, with no sound and black and white stripes over the screen. This was a disaster, because the rugby was on. Secondly, it I noticed the big gap in the wall from the room to the floor which did not look nice. Then it started getting dark, I closed the curtains and the whole curtain came loos, then I put on the light, and found the bulb was fused. I walked into the shower to try and relax and found a big bundle of black long hair on the bathroom floor. No tell me, should I be happy?????????????????

We were delighted with our room at Knysna Country House, and agreed that it was our favourite Guest House during our two week trip to SA. The room we has was superb (though air con would have been even better!), and the owners had thought of everything. I could not recommend this more strongly if you are staying in Knysna (providing you have a car, as the main town centre is a little way off).

Location was a bit further out then preferred

We had a separate self contained cottage in the garden with the pool outside our door and a private veranda where we had evening drinks.

The talking on the adjacent patio outside the main house which was slightly above us. This went on until late and because the air was so still the voices carried to our cottage

Owners very friendly, breakfast good

Room was dismal, pillows thin and flat and uncomfortable. One curtain was too narrow for the window so they just sewed a blue panel onto it, looked very cheap and did not block the sunlight out at all so we were wakened much too early for a holiday weekend away. Room had no view, bathroom tiny and shower dark and dingy. 2 lights in the patio outside burned all night, eventually I threw two hand towels over them so that we could sleep otherwise it was like trying to sleep with someone shining a torch in your face all night. It seemed as if no effort was made for our comfort at all and we regret our choice of accomodation

Close to town, but not noisy.

In booking.com, we booked a garden suite for a lot of money. Then at the Hotel, we were told, that all rooms cost the same and the booked room was not free. In booking.com there a different prices for the rooms. For the price we had payed, we would never booked that room we got.

Very welcoming hosts. Box of 'stuff' in the room with useful things like adaptors. Nice pool.

Beautiful accommodation in stunning surroundings. Ypie & Erik were excellent hosts. The entire experience was relaxed and tranquil.

The car parking was on a steep hill, so you had to be good at hill starts.

The hosts were great it was a lovely place to stay.

Friendly owners and staff who were willing to share their knowledge of the local area and activities available. Great breakfast and access to local area was fantastic.

Eric and Ypie were the best guest couple we have met over the last 12 years while traveling in the country.

Our terrific stay at Knysna Country House from april 18 until april 21, 2012 After a warm welcome we were shown our lovely and cozy apartment. We immediately felt at ease. Every morning we enjoyed breakfast on the terrace together with other guests. A buffet with a large variety was waiting for us. Our hosts Erik and his wife Ypie gave us useful information with regard to daytrips and restaurants. Day by day we became closer and had good talks and laughs with them. In the evenings soccer friends had the opportunity to watch their favourite match in a living room. The house is very well kept and is surrounded by a lot of greenery. Very nice people running the show

Zeer vriendelijke bediening van een Nederlands echtpaar. Was een plezier om er te verblijven. Perfect ontbijt en zeker een aanrader.

Gastvrijheid. Behulpzaamheid bij het uitzoeken van onze dagtripjes en de kleinschaligheid. Lekker zwembad met voldoende badhanddoeken. Wij hadden de familiekamer (2 slaapkamers en ruime badkamer) en met een zitje buiten hetgeen voldeed aan onze verwachtingen (sliepen er alleen). Prima bedden. Tevens de luxe kamers bekeken en die waren top. Niet vergelijkbaar met de familiekamer.

De entree van de kamer (aparte kamer met extra bed en ijskastje) was gedateerd en muf.

Eine optimale Ausgangslage zur Erkundung der Knysna Region. Erik und Ypie verstehen es, die Gäste für diese Lodge zu begeistern. Eine Bewertung > 4 Sterne

Goede service en tips.

Leuk guesthouse, mooie ligging over het gezellige Knysna. Wij hadden een ruime kamer met enorme badkamer. Ontbijt is goed en ook een groot zwembad aanwezig.

Sehr nette Gastgeber, schöne Lage.

Alte, schmutzige Teppiche die dringend ersetzt werden müssten.

Alles tot in de puntjes verzorgd, schoon, ruim en alles werkte perfect. Prima ontbijt.
