Pretty deserted the night we were there, and for what the rooms are, we felt it a bit overpriced!

The place was average. The staff were friendly.

The meals: the quality of the meals did not match the price. When eating out at restaurants in the area, you can not even compare the value for money. The place is a little run down. The breakfast is exactly the same cold breakfast every morning, not options or variety - very boring. Our zircon was not working, so had to be moved to a different room, there was no safe in the room. They do not really have satellite tv as advertised, there is only 1 channel and we would have to phone them to select a channel which is then the same channel for all guests in the lodge. For a 4 bed chalet, there was only 1 small hanging cupboard with no shelves for packing. This lodge is only suitable as an overnight lodge and is not conducive for a longer stay. We actually left 2 days earlier than what we had booked and paid for.

The aircon in the room

Could not swim because the pool was green throughout my stay, there was no spa it was nothing like the website showed. The same food everyday for breakfast and dinner.

Pool was green, toilet leaked, room was very small. Furniture made from logs was heavy and cumbersome. We used it as a base to sleep only but there was nothing to entice us to spend any time at the facility. Payment facilities did not work and had to go online to pay.

Cleanliness of my room and service standard

The staff was friendly and accommodating.

We had dinner and it was not very good and very expensive. The swimming pool was so dirty. We left early and there was no guard to open the gate.

-Food -No variety in the catering -Not all staff speak english -The booking through booking.com was not processed we arrived without the lodge expecting us this was very surprising as we received the booking confirmation-but the manager was able to sort us out by changing 3 times rooms as we were staying for 5 nights

African style, African environment, 12 minutes from Phabani gate, baboons around trees, staff availability ok, take away breakfast has sandwich, apple, egg, energy bar, juice ok, 24/7 security

The meals were bad, very bad. Breakfast the only meal that could be enjoyed. The blanket on our bed were dirty.

the location is great.

We had a problem with the zinc roofs over the huts,because when it rains you cannot sleep due to the deafening noise it makes.We found this very irritating.When I complained about this at reception,I was told that it would be reported to the management, but I was never asked about it again. The staff are friendly but they are inexperienced with the dealing of customer complaints/queries. Another issue i encountered was the alarm system going off every morning at about 3 am. We did not feel fully secure and at ease when we slept at night, this due to the fact that it looked like the door handle and the lock in the hut we were staying in,seemed to have been previously tampered with. I found management prescense at the lodge very lacking

Stay was relaxing and staff friendly

The rooms that are across each other you can hear the tv in the other room.

I liked the service and not forgeting the break fast, yoh it was nice.

Spacious and clean chalet... In a spacious area. Private and safe parking.

Breakfast is different in order to reservation made for the room !! Good enough for people with little appetite. In low season, choice for lunch/diner is really poor. But some restaurants not far from the hotel. No wifi available.

Very near to the kruger; cheap and friendly

Room too dark and little bit cold

Helpful staff, basic but comfortable room with kettle and tea. Evening meal was from limited menu, but OK if you do not have time to go out. if you have time go to the Pioneer Steak House 2 km down the road.

Great Location

Restaurant very simple and only offer daily set menus.

The staff was excellent, very well managed, always friendly, good food, and near 3 gates to the Kruger Park. Thanks again, will hopefully come back some time. Derek & Renate Steyn

Nearby noisey road.

It was shocking. To think they charged us r 1000 for a room of such poor standards is a shame. The ceiling in the bathroom was black from mould, the tiles broken, the so-called "mini-bar" is a noisy empty fridge and kettle inside a cupboard, the beds are creaky, maintenance of the facility poor (front door has not seen varnish in years), paint is of poor quality, gardens are maintained to a point and then it is just leaves and cuttings moved out of sight, Bathroom cabinet door hangs open, window is painted on the outside in stead of a curtain, tv in a corner under a staircase with no place to sit, linen old and torn on one of the beds, rat in the room..... Need I say more ??? I was embarrassed as South African to see tourists there. The pictures on the internet and chalet quality do not match. They have a Tourism Board 1 Star, but I don't even think that is justified....

You claim to have Satelite tv that is not true sabc 1,2,3 & e is not.

service at reception was excellent and the cottage very comfortable. the continental breakfast was excellent.

Had dinner and the orders were not correct when served. and also a very long wait for the food to arrive. we booked in at approximately 16.30 and dinner booking was for 19.30. it took till 21.00h to have a 3 course meal.

Staff readiness to find other wi-fi service when their's was not working.
