Location, comfort, courteous staff with unexpected sense of humour, professional conduct all make this our top Franschhoek destination.
Slight discomfort with ventilation not adequate during breakfast could be improved
We particularly liked the bath sheets & face clothes. The biscuits in the rooms & the lovely gift of champagne
The decor is of a good quality and beautiful. The pool area very pleasant with a stunning view of the mountains.
A Double bed! I expect a queen/ king size for the pricing;good quality feather pillows too. Shower over bath is a pet hate.. A bigger selection of cold food for breakfast would be appreciated.
good located, 2 pools, nice bathroom, everything is very proper, friendly and flexible staff, very clean, great views to the mountains around, nice rooms
Somehow artificial atmosphere, grass around pool was plastic, and got very hot in the sun, so you could not walk on it.l.. we booked a superior room with garden view, but it was a standard room looking on the parking lot (seems to be a booking.com problem)...
The views and facilities were stunning. Excellent position - in town, but in a quiet area.
Amazing breakfast selection Loved the heated pool Gorgeous location Great friendly staff and hospitality - thanks for the champagne in the house!!!
Our room looked onto the parking lot and there was no wifi connection available in the room
HI , everybody , I liked the relaxed and friendly owners / management of the place
The location was excellant for our family unit of 3 seniors and a young couple with baby.Nothing was too much trouble even to suplying a child's paddling pool filled with warm water. How about that for service!
Was not anywhere to sit inside as a family group in the evening.
We only stayed for one night. I could have spent several days enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The staff helped with dinner reservations and ensured our limited time stumbled on great wineries.
Difficult to find, but give them a call and they will guide you in.
The quiet. The mountain view.
The rooms are oddly placed and are rather long and too narrow to move around. Not enough light or windows. Strange design
Beautiful garden and views.
Breakfast setting lovely
Putting the tea tray in the clothes closet and having to boil a kettle on the floor - what about a tray in the room? The room was very boxy.
That there was good car parking available and the location was good and the wine was very well priced !
Climbing up the stairs !
there was a infestation of cockroaches! unaceptable! No any compensation was offered for this disgusting plague
1. THE LOCATION. 2. THE AMAZING VIEWS OF MOUNTAIN RANGE THAT SURROUND THE AREA. 3. THE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL MANAGEMENT AND STAFF. 4. A FEELING OF BEING SAFE AND SECURE, EVEN ON THE SHORT WALK INTO TOWN; WITH EXCELLENT WINE AND FOOD.
THAT OUR STAY - OF SIX NIGHTS - WAS TOO SHORT.
Very spacious rooms and welcomed with a bottle of local cap classique which was really nice. Good breakfast. Walking distance into town and close to the Franschhoek monument.
Ladies on duty very friendly and tried to be helpful
Noise of wardrobe doors closing every time opening or closing. Tv remote didn't work so no tv in room. No management presence until departure.. A bit impersonal.
location and staff and breakfast
A beautiful country house with stunning views and luxury rooms. The afternoon tea and cake was a lovely touch.
The people, the place, the location, the weather.
Lovely situation Lovely breakfast Rooms beautifully decorated Bathroom of a high standard
Bed and pillows not comfortable Bedroom too hot, but when air con on too cold - didn't seem to be able to adjust it, so sleeping difficult. Would like to have been able to leave windows open at night
Hospitality of the owners and staff.
Plague of bugs each night invading our bedroom.
Setting, views and service all great.
Great welcome including a half bottle of sparkling wine and afternon tea and cake. Assistance with booking restaurants. Fantastic location and views Very nice room and facilities
La Cabriere is a lovely little gem in Franschoek. It is very quaint and comfortable, as soon as we arrived we were met by the manager who showed us to our room and then sent a bottle of bubbly in the house, very much appreciated!!!!! The staff were lovely, breakfast is served on a small patio with stunning views of the mountains. You can have the continental which is full of fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, hams and cheeses, or order from the kitchen!!!!! It was very busy in Franschoek so the manager booked tables for us both nights at two local restaurants, she also advised us to do the wine tasting tram tour which was a great idea and a right giggle:):):) We loved our two nights here and were sad to leave!!!
