This 4-star guesthouse adjoining the Nelspruit Nature Reserve, offers luxurious accommodation individually decorated with styles from African and Asian cultures. The pool terrace boasts uninterrupted views of the Nature Reserve. Many of La Roca Guesthouse’s rooms have balconies with views of the Drakensberg Mountains while some rooms have a private patio. Each has a seating area where guests can relax and watch satellite TV on the flat-screen. Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the outdoor pool, which is set in a large sub-tropical garden and surrounded by sun loungers. The pool bar features a wide range of drinks and refreshments. Breakfast is served under the open-air thatched lapa on the panoramic pool terrace. Eight different freshly cooked breakfast specials are available, as well as an extensive self-service cold buffet. The centre of Nelspruit is a short drive from La Roca Guesthouse while KMIA Nelspruit Airport is 8 km away. A car rental service is available on site and an airport shuttle is also offered. Breakfasts for me were the best part of the day. Excellent food beautiful surroundings, it was wonderfully relaxing and what with the excellent service with a smile. I am only sorry that I did not sign the visitors book. My only real gripes would be that the bed could have been bigger or have been two singles.

quiet accomodation in a safe surrounding. need for a car to get to downtown or restaurants/shops. nelspruit itself is not worthwhile visiting, only as a hub to kruger or blyde river canyon.

Marlia welcomed us as if we were regulars even though it was our first, and definitely not last, visit.We enjoyed a delicious breakfast served in a stunning setting. I enjoyed the attention to detail and the cleanliness of the lodge.

We had a wonderful three nights at La Roca Shaun and Caren were wonderful and couldnt do enough for us Shauns food is excellent and well worth staying in for with a nice bottle of wine and the beautiful veiws it was all we needed after a days sight seeing. Shaun made New Years eve wonderful for us and by the end of the evening had managed effortlessly to bring all the guests togeather and it became a very happy New Year 2013 Our room at La Roca was lovely modern and clean and some very nice touches in the bathroom, 2 mins away by car to shops and bars, the pool area is not massive but big enough for the needs of about 10 guests and very clean, in all the nicest place we stayed on our 9 day trip of joberg and surrounding area so if your in Nelspirit stay here you wont be dissapointed Jenifer Milne Taxi service very expencive although this is not the BnBs fault so car it is.

The environment and the atmosphere at breakfast makes you feel at home We booked a non-smoking room but it had a smoke smell as we entered! The paint was a bit tacky as though it needed some touch up!

THe reception we got from staff, they really know how to make you feel home. they listen to detail from a clients requirements and deliver. they are very friendly and would really go out of their way to make you come back for more. The different themes you have in your rooms. especially your Executive room plus the first toom I brought. yhe hole experience ectually helped inject romance in my relationship as I thing we were getting too confortable to go out of our way to impress of supprise each other.

The couple running the hotel is really friendly and attentive. The food is great - both dinner and breakfast were wonderful, full of attention to details. Fresh juice fruits were available in both occasions, which is unfortunately not so easy to find, even in countries rich in a variety of fruits like SA. The dependencies of the Guesthouse were very nice, both our room and the common areas, like the restaurant. Because the weather was nice, we could eat in the morning and in the evening outside, which was both very pleasant and romantic.
