Good location Walking distance to Waterfront and restaurants.
The parking was a problem, as it was behind the building with delivery vehicles blocking the parking at most times. Very inconvenient. Very noisy on the weekend from DJ at attached restaurant.
good all round 3* hotel. good entertainment/food offering
guest toilets downstairs let the hotel down a bit
Location Price Good vibe in the bar downstairs but terrible food
Passivity of the staff: No help / explanation to show you your room and get the luggage up, they forgot the wake-up call, they didn't say about the additional fee for the parking or about the check out time Facilities (elevators, windowns, etc ) quiet run-down
Close to V&A Waterfront 1.5km and Sea point shopping centre and restaurant. 1-3km
Booking through Booking.com was for R1432 when arrived price R890. I will contact Hotel in the future and not going through Booking.com.
everything else but one dislike
the squeaky bed. every time you turn over at night you wake up
Nice location, nice room, friendly staff
There was no real double bed, just two single beds pushed together, not ideal for couples
The restaurant was obviously a popular choice for Friday afternoon sundowners! Great vibe and good food!
Location was ok.
Blocked drains, lights / clocks not working, dead cockroaches, tiny safe, old, bad maintenance, mo patio furniture, noise, disgustingly dirty parking area, lack of security, long power cuts, 1 cup and 1 glass for a room for 2 people. , etc, etc. No wonder their website is so vague.
I liked that there is a restaurant & bar downstairs. I love the fact that the promenade is across the road. It's easy access, not at all difficult to find - a great location. Staff are great.
Wifi in the room was non-existent. The night we arrived the light in the corridor was not working - it was a little difficult to open the door in darkness - it was fixed immediately.
AC was old, noisy and should be immediately replaced. Lack of mentities. No Ironing Board and Iron
no good lighting over mirror. No electrical outlet in bathroom. We were not made aware at check in that construction noise would start at 7:30 am.
Friendly receptionists and restaurant staff Location
Our telephone did not work so we had to go down to reception for everything we needed to know
The noise in the restaurant, very bad water pressure - very high rates
Location and views of the mountain
I asked for a double bed but got two single beds instead. The beds were not comfortable, they were too hard
Location and staff are amazing
In booking ( hebrew language) it says that the transport from the airport to the hotel and back is free and it's not We needed to pay 600 rand !!!!!!!it is super expensive
Staff very friendly and helpful. Good coffee and food. Excellent location for views, Red and Blue tourist and Mycity buses. Nice level prom for walking and easy walk to V & A Waterfront. Bit hilly walking back but excellent bus service from the Waterfront via Mycity buses.
Electrics need a thorough check in rooms as plugs and wiring not always safe. Cannot fill kettle from the bathroom tap. Wi-Fi access in the room unreliable but ok in Sotano. No chairs on balcony for sitting out.
Staff efficiency and friendliness Problems were attended to quickly.
Our room in need of paintjob in certain areas/paint chipping . Furniture showing wear and tear ie chair broken
good situated , nice breakfast
bathroom was bad smelling all the time, no possibility to sit on the balcony, no bar service after 11 pm
The location and free wifi were great
Pretty much everything else. Having traveled for 12 years I would say this was my worst hotel experience. The building next to the hotel is a building site so from 8 am in the morning there is loud drilling and banging all day. I booked my room through booking.com and it mentioned that there maybe some disturbance but the noise levels were totally unacceptable. When I made a compliant to the staff members I was told there was nothing that would be done about it. The room was advertised as non smoking but was clearly smoking. I paid 1,400 rhd for the room but when I arrived the rooms were being advertised for 995 rhd. The staff were generally pretty unhelpful and given the expense there are much better options to choose from.
The location was great and pleased i had a sea view room. Staff were friendly & helpful.
The furniture in the room was very basic garden furniture! I don't think i would rush back.
The building activities next door to hotel. The foul smell in front of hotel on stoep. The shower
The location of the hotel was great, having a big room and bathroom, being able to make tea and coffee in the room. The restaurant was also nice. Not to far from the waterfront.
I liked the outdoor restaurant and the view of the ocean from my room.
The mess from construction of the condominiums next door.
I think staff are the strongest point in this hotel, very helpfyl and very pleasant, espacially Anthony. The location is great, on high floor the ocean is infront of you. Clean, excellent Sotano restaurant; trndy. Easy to park, close to everything.
Some construction work. WeakWiFi In-accessible electricity plugs. Small safe.
Photos in advert deceiving, paid for a superior suite with sea view, view was side sea view room, but told it was a superior room.Ensure to ask for front facing room otherwise not value for money.internet very slow and no reception.
