Score from 160 reviews Good
Yassiem greeted us and assisted me as a partially disabled woman to move my room to a lower floor without any hesitation. Friendly and professional staff throughout. Warm welcoming ambience. The all hours coffee was an unexpected bonus and Im sure a joy in winter.
The cooked breakfast was a bit greasy and the bacon everyday had black unidentified bits attached to it. Maybe clean the pan ??? But have to commend the lady chef on duty as she was a charm to greet each morning and the food was kept fresh and filled.
Friendly staff even when obviously stretched!
Breakfast - Some of the dishes were either left overs from previous meals or not fresh at all. Less fresh dishes would have been better. Promised DSTV not there. Promised gym facilities not there. Promised free WIFI is only at reception.
went down for buffet an was told that we were late an that they were closing earlier due to lack of customer interest. the guy kept saying we were late even tho we were an hour early. if we missed it then ok. but we didnt an were still scold at by a staff member. Wth?
This hotel is extremely run down. Broken door handles. Beds look all caved in! Bathrooms don't look good and in general the hotel needs serious attention. We booked in and once we seen the rooms we booked out straight away.
Location was ok. Walking distance to Long Street. Breakfast was very good.
No hot water in the showers. Shower head was chest level and I'm average height. Carpet smelled a bit musty. Same smell in my room although the room that my colleague was in did not smell.
The staff at reception were very obliging and helpful- with changing money, getting taxis etc The food and service at breakfast was acceptable.
There was no toilet paper in my bathroom and there seemed to be a leak from the toilet. This was dealt with temporarily by putting a towel under the toilet bowl; but if I had been staying for more than one night I would have asked to change rooms.
Thanks to the reception host who left his cell charger for me even though he was off the next day.
Food was great, service excellent and bed was fabulous!!
The staff were especially good to us as we have 2 young children, I would certainly choose to stay there again
The staff is very helpfull. Great location, close to kloofstreet. Rooms are okay so a great deal in Cape Town
Location. As a total utility function for overnight stay, perfect when no luxury and no extras are expected ... Value is excellent when expectation is a room, shower and excellent Cape Town location
Lots ... Basics like towel size, ants in bedroom, no shampoo, no lift for 4 stories, non offer to move luggage whatsoever. Staff in eatery were extremely undesirous in body odor which is extremely unprofessional... Much more
Close proximity of Kloof Street!
The Wi-Fi was not up to scratch!
Staff is unfriendly Bar doesn't stock Amstel, Castle Light and only two types of cocktails. Staff are not fully equiped in English language and barely understands. Shower door were damaged in room 118, no hot water in 116, aged hotel with little maintenance, flaking paints on walls around swimming pool area. No waiters catering for guest during serving of breakfast and removing cutlery etc. Chef or representative doesn't greet nor thank you's. Worse experience ever. Vending machine didn't work.
The breakfast was good, and the staff were very helpful.
The safe in my room didn't work, the shower was broken and soaked the towels, the wifi was terribly unreliable and usually didn't work.
Nice size room, comfortable bed, friendly reception and porters
Not having a kettle in the room, no Gideon bible.
A lady that worked in the reception, i asked her for some plates as she was watching some soap on tv, and instead of helping me out she called someone else to fix it for me and then continued to watch tv. I work in the service industry and i think this is a perfect example of poor and disrespectful Service. My friend is having a Wedding in Cape Town next year and was thinking of booking alot of rooms somwhere, lady hamilton will not be that place
The rooms were clean and the staff friendly and helpfull
The bathrooms in particular were outdated and in need of modernisation. The wi fi very slow.
location is very convenient
selling ice for a three star hotel. not enough catering for vegetarians
Location, price, room
Careless staff, prehistoric air-con, poor parking facilities
Comfy beds. Pillows not so great but we slept well. Friendly staff. Good breakfast but some items ran out. Loved being able to have a cup of coffee or tea anytime. Great dinner available each night.
Really nothing. Good value for money n
The bed is comfortable .
Overcharge for the parking fees. When we booked via booking.com, it shows that the parking fees should be R40 per day, while the hotel charged us R50 per day! It's not about only R10, it's about correct or wrong !
The hotel was certainly good value for money. The breakfasts were good with a good variety offered. The staff were fantastic...very helpful, knowledgable and extremely friendly
In the mornings around 8am, the breakfast room was over full. I am not sure if it was a tour group that came in for breakfast or what, but it made breakfast very noisy and uncomfortable
Cheap and well located.
Reception staff are a little dodgy, always check your change.
The staff are very frıendly, the hotel is very near to table mountain.Breakfast is satisfied
