Lovely old building located close to the main street but far enough away so was nice and quiet, excellent breakfast and the room we had was beautifully decorated in a traditional style
A small fridge in the room would have been useful.
It was comfortable, secure and the staff nice and helpful. The colonial atmosphere was great. Franschoek is a very nice and safe village to visit
The guest house is in a perfect position just a few steps off the main road where there are many shops and restaurants. The rooms are accessed straight from the street which is great as there is no need to go through any main building. The bed was good with lovely white linen and there was a lovely bathroom. Breakfast is served on a very pleasant terrace and is a cooked meal. It was real value for money, with everything you need and in a great location.
The room was a bit dingy with wood floor boards and dark wood dressers. Could do with brightening up a bit and with a nice light tiled floor. However, we were more than happy with the room and would not hesitate in staying there again.
Well situated, and staff very pleasant. Mother of 87years, needed a bath, and other B and B's that I first checked could not give her that.
Friendly , helping , convenient ,quiet ,easy parking.
The high ceilings, helpful and friendly proprietors. Only 2 mins from town centre with a large selection of good restaurants. Large off street parking
Great location Clean and well fitted room Fabulous breakfast
So central. It is in the middle of town. Staff were so friendly. Highly recommended!!!
The managers are a lovely couple, who are very helpful and welcoming. Rooms are beautiful and breakfast was a delicious spread! Highly recommended.
the breakfast was a 10/10! the hosting excellent, the suite beautifull!!
Our court yard the jasmin
Management was really great. Staff not too trained when it comes to quality of service for instance my mom doesn't eat pork. The lady serving us' response was "Ma'am we only serve pork" ordinarily you'd expect an apologetic response with an option for other days to offer a beef/chicken option. So my mom had eggs, tomato and mushroom until the second last day where they then offered her beef sausages.
Nothing at all. The place is well kept
Location and breakfast
Poorly lit rooms, uncomfortable beds, lack of personal interaction with reception
Room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Staff was friendly and security was good.
Breakfast was not hot and you could spice it up a bit.
easy access to all shops etc
Noise from local restaurant kitchen fans at night
Friendly staff, clean bedding and a great breakfast.
Excellent customer service Breakfast superb Rooms spacious and clean
Great location and excellent breakfast.
We liked that it was clean and close to the Main Road of Franschhoek
The shower leaked, the mattress is very soft and needs to be replaced. The rooms looked bigger on the website than they actually were.
Perfect location and good breakfast! Wifi was working well.
Lots of big flying crickets inside the room even the windows and door were closed whole day.
What would be nice is to have a small fridge in the room specially if stay more than one night so that was a bit inconveniant.
Excellent location almost on the the main street where all the restaurants, bars and shops are located (including the tram to take you to the different wineyards). The room is big and nicely decorated. Enjoy the wonderful breakfast on the outside terrasse and the small pool.
The pool looks more like a bath.
We were made to feel right at home and there was nothing that Jenny or David could not do for us. David turned out to be a great wine tour guide and took us to some lovely places while giving us some local history along the way!
Nothing. Compared to previous bookings this holiday this was a well below par
The cockroaches in the bedroom!!
The friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. It was close to the main shopping area and restaurants and Cafe. Breakfast was great.
Noise of traffic in early morning but if we had chosen No 7 or 8 at back it was a lot quieter.
