Having opened after renovation in August 2008, Le Marais offers 4 suites and an apartment, all decorated in slick, minimalist, yet warm style with a red theme. Relax with a glass of wine in the stylish lounge or enjoy the solar-heated pool. The house is a replica of traditional Cape Dutch architecture with a thatched roof. It is situated in a secure area, with wonderful views of the rear of Table Mountain. Hout Bay, surrounded by magnificent landscape, is one of the top big wave surfing spots in the world. Excellent b&b avec vue magnifique sur l'océan indien Accueil chaleureux Décoration avec gouts dans tous les détails. Je verrais bien les photos dans une revue de design de la côte Est américaine Chambre un peu petite. Peu de place pour mettre les valises

Rustig gelegen, niet ver van Kaapstad. Kleinschaligheid en luxe vertrek. Bij ontvangst was er (nagenoeg) niemand om ons te ontvangen, pas na enkele dagen zagen we iemand.

Prettig guest house met hartelijke ontvangst door de Franse eigenaar. Mooi design kamers met thema, behoorlijk geslaagd. Uitstekende ligging ten opzichte van het wijngebied Constantia met al haar mooie wijnhuizen en bijbehorende restaurantlocaties. Hout Bay is niet veel te beleven, maar Cape Town ligt op 20 minuten rijden. Daartussenin ligt ook nog Camps Bay, heerlijk strand met voorzieningen, boulevard en trendy restaurants.

Het is een zeer mooi huis met mooie kamers en alle luxe. Het ontbijt is schitterend en de gastheren zijn zeer aangenaam. Het is een gay-friendly guesthouse en daarvan zijn er nog altijd te weinig. Het gebruik van een pc zou niet misstaan :-)

Merci Patrice pour ce séjour, je confirme bien le passage sur Hount bay au Marais est indispensable. Acceuil, discrétion, confort literie, belle chambre, le personnel, excellent breakfast et Vuitton le retriever.....Que du bonheur!!!! A très bientôt :-)

Mooi design van de kamers en erg goede bedden Bij een BenB of guesthouse verwacht je een persoonlijkere benadering. We hebben amper de eigenaar gezien, geen welkom, geen tips voor restaurants of bezienswaardigheden etc. Alleen bij het betalen van de rekening kwam hij op eigen initiatief. De hond van de eigenaar loopt overal rond, zelfs in de kamers en in het zwembad. Wij hebben geen angst voor honden, maar je zult maar mensen hebben die wel angst hebben. Voor het ontbijt had ik bij deze prijs ook een uitvoerigere keuze verwacht.
