Not a bad experience, just some staff a little abrupt.
the overall ambiance
The main restaurant is way over the top and I did not enjoy the tasting experience. Its not real food in my opinion
Attractive and comfortable room, beautiful pool area and gardens, overall setting in Franschhoek and the excellent breakfast
No complaints whatsoever!
Discreet but attentive levels of service, beautiful, peaceful surroundings and excellent location for the centre of Franschhoek village. Also the complete honesty of the housekeeping staff who handed in a cell phone to the front desk that we had inadvertently left behind in our room after departure.
breakfast menu not enough variety
extremely helpful staff - nothing was too much trouble comfortable room, delicious food and wine attention to detail
friendly and attentive staff. lovely accommodation.
was not overwhelmed by the general "tapas" style menu in the cafe, but what they did - they did well
Great location, Great Service, unadulterated luxary
Tasting room dinner was totally memorable - even better than our last visit in 2006.
That we did not stay long enough!
POOL Location in village Gardens Staff Trendy design Vibrant colors
We stayed here primarily to visit the Tasting Room restaurant. However it is such a wonderful spot we would advise people to stay regardless of the restaurant. It is so quite and peaceful yet just a minute stroll into Franschhoek village. The facilities from the room to pool to the breakfast-room were all perfect.
The living room looked tired and not inviting.
The garden is fantastic, the pool very nice, the location excellent, the restaurant a great experience, the staff very friendly.
A bit pricey for a multi-night stay (we only had one night).
EVERYTHING!! The heated floors in both the main room and the bath room; the fireplace (needed matches though); complimentary bottle of wine plus sodas and water. We especially loved the warm tiles placed inside the comforter to keep our feet warm on a cold and rainy night. The breakfast service was lovely and the food delicious.
Perhaps something for kids on the menu?
Nothing not to like. For real.
The food. Margot Janse and The Tasting Room, and the excellent bar and breakfast. Staff are incredible, attentive yet not overbearing. The rooms and the premises are beautiful. Private and restful.
Decor is outdated I don't think it measures up well with similar priced accommodation like The 12 Apostles and Babylonstoren
LQF went the extra mile with service - despite only staying for one night we were treated like royalty. And the Tasting Room is worth the trip.
Fantastic location, beautiful room and ambience. Needless to say food and wine on offer top quality
Special Tasting menu. We have already recommended to friends.
Awesome location, facilities, service and food.
Wifi reception in rooms was patchy.
Location in the centre of the village. Room was large, well equipped and very comfortable. Restaurant was excellent. Staff were very friendly and service was excellent.
We had the taster menu and it was our last night in SA. Absolutely outstanding ! We shall return!!
