The honesty bar Friendliness of the staff The revamped bathroom, specifically the shower !!
Paint fumes in our room was not pleasent at all
I was highly surprised and impressed by the unique welcome: Kiki the parrot. Very friendly and caring service. Had a good time.
Nothing I didn't like
There was no proper coffee machine. A Bean to Cup Machine for proper coffee would have been nice.
Thank you for a wonderful restful stay-over and for taking extra care and making our and the dogs' lives easier after a long day of travel. We really enjoyed the warm fireplace, red wine, lamb and the quietest of quiet!
relaxing bedroom evening meal excellent breakfast
we only stayed one night!
The hotel is a country hotel on a game farm. It's a different feeling if you come from the city. The food was great.
Could be a challenge if you have a low sports car. There is 3km of gravel to drive from the gate to the guest house. The shower in our room flooded the floor in the bathroom. The drain seems to be the problem.
The position is excellent between Jhb + Cape Town. The staff were excellent alround, especially Orbet.
The dinner lacked character in terms of not being Karoo lamb-the chicken + lamb curry was cold + not as enjoyable/tasty as expected.Breakfast rates should be included in normal rates + not charged separately.
The Location, The Food, The Management, The Staff and the Karoo. We booked this hotel for 1 night but the people and the ambience of the place was so good we ended up staying for 3 nights. Meeting in the bar with fellow travellers at the lodge prior to sitting down together in the grand old dining room for a great local dinner was fantastic. Jenny and I will be back as often as possible. Thanks Kobus and Ingrid. This is a fair dinkum old hunting lodge made into a great home for the night for any traveller in the old tradition of warmth, companionship and hospitality.
Food, service and staff were brilliant
Location hospitality food beautiful clean rooms acomadating host, beautiful view various options for activities
Nothing about the place is a dislike
Excellent food, nice location, nice decoration, big rooms, big bathrooms.
The friendliness and welcome of the staff, location, breakfast, early morning game drive and general ambiance. We were made to feel very welcome.
Better than expected
Great character and the food was excellent.
Lovely room and surroundings
Excellent in every respect. We decided to take our evening meal at the lodge, which was a good choice - highly recommended!
enjoyed the out door veranda eating and pleasant owner.
A tranquil place. The hosts and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was fantastic!
We were greeted by friendly staff and our stay was amazing. The rooms and gardens were beautiful and we will definitely be back. Thank you for a splendid time.
Nothing at all.
Lemoenfontein Game Lodge was a fantastic, magical experience for us. It was everything that South Africa has to offer at its best but for a reasonable price. We loved our stay and will bring the rest of our family back one day. A very special place and I am glad we experienced it.
Everything. Close to Karoo National Park. Good place for birding. Food was wonderful.
The peace and tranquility - stunning view from verandah looking out over the Karoo. Lovely pool and great that they serve dinner and we didnt have to go out and find a restaurant.
Didnt like the fact that I had to leave the next morning!
I liked the friendliness of the reception, the old-world atmosphere, the comfort of the rooms and bath-rooms and most of all the spectacular sunset views from the veranda while we were having dinner.
The staff, location, convenience of parking outside room and above all, food was delicious. Also all at very, very reasonable price. It was a gem and we will return
The view is spectacular and having meals on the veranda is a treat! The Blue Macaw providing entertainment at breakfast was an unexpected bonus!
