very nice guesthouse. to be recommended. the outside location for the evening dinner is gorgeous.
Liked the setting and that we could bring our dog
We thought the dinner was very expensive
Peaceful setting An oasis in the Karoo Attentive, helpful staff Well-appointed , comfortable room
Wonderfully quiet and refreshing - best overnight stop ever
Good stop over. Excellent food and very friendly staff.
The service was beyond belief. I noticed the special attention given to all guests. The fact that they have an honesty bar speaks volumes of the values of the owners. It's home away from home
Everything was excellent, staff friendly, food very well cooked and if you have to stop off in Beaufort West en-route between the Cape & Joburg/Durban, this is the place! Will definitely return
No issues at all.
The view and lovely garden, friendly staff and good, fresh and tasty food Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable, working ,effective air conditioning, creamy good quality body lotion, and shower gel!!!
Towels not soft and fluffy, they felt stiff and hard to the skin There was water in the bathroom after a bath, either from under the bath-tub or from the shower!!!
Ideal stopover for the long road between Pta and Cape Town. It was a perfect start of our holiday, the peacefullness and professional personel. Not just a stop over but a place you should experience, spoil yourself and visit Lemoenfontein!
Very friendly staff, peacefull surroundings.
I think for the price of the room the breakfast should be included.
The situation was calm and beautiful, in the Karoo, on a very large estate. It took 40 minutes to walk to the entrance gate. The lodge was very comfortable with a certain old fashioned feel (stepping back in time). The staff were unusally friendly and helpful. The morning game drive was unforgetable and the game warden had a great sense of humour! The food was excellent and served on a huge wooden veranda (old dance floor) overlooking the surroundings for as far as the eye could see. Sunsets were beautiful. Overall quite remarkable.
We had a little bit of trouble with the wi-fi. Otherwise nothing.
The friendly and helpfull owners and staff, amazing views, the nearby presence of wildlife, the lovely terrace overlooking the land, the dogs that followed me on my walk, the silence of the place.
Wifi connection could have been better but then again...there are more important things.
Since first visiting in 2002 the lodge has become our stopping off point on each trip north or south. Standards have never varied. Staff have always been welcoming and after a day on the road, the honesty bar and the stoep are the best things in town!
Everything about the accomodation.
Food dissapointed a little, fatty lamb, e.g. is not everybody's choice Front garden overlooking the expanse can do with a face lift.
Charming tasteful comfortable watering hole outside of the ghastly Beaufort West. Some 460 km out of Cape Town going north. An excellent stop over.
Kobus is bijzonder attent en gastvrij.
Een zeer slechte toegangsweg van 5 kilometer.
Beautiful buildings, rooms, garden Happy that we were able to bring our pets with us as we were relocating from Midrand to Langebaan. Staff extremely helpful and friendly.
For the price per double room of about R950,00 per night, it is expected to have breakfast included, but we had to pay additional for breakfast. Thought that this was a bit unreasonable.
The honesty bar Friendliness of the staff The revamped bathroom, specifically the shower !!
Paint fumes in our room was not pleasent at all
Beautiful setting and attention to detail -- dinner was excellent and despite the cold, all efforts were made to heat up the lounge and dining room. The rooms are lovely spacious and everything is brand new -- We left refreshed and will definitely return.
Rates a bit pricey as breakfast not included -- we only missed a mirror in the room near a power plug.
I was highly surprised and impressed by the unique welcome: Kiki the parrot. Very friendly and caring service. Had a good time.
Nothing I didn't like
There was no proper coffee machine. A Bean to Cup Machine for proper coffee would have been nice.
Thank you for a wonderful restful stay-over and for taking extra care and making our and the dogs' lives easier after a long day of travel. We really enjoyed the warm fireplace, red wine, lamb and the quietest of quiet!
relaxing bedroom evening meal excellent breakfast
we only stayed one night!
The hotel is a country hotel on a game farm. It's a different feeling if you come from the city. The food was great.
Could be a challenge if you have a low sports car. There is 3km of gravel to drive from the gate to the guest house. The shower in our room flooded the floor in the bathroom. The drain seems to be the problem.
The position is excellent between Jhb + Cape Town. The staff were excellent alround, especially Orbet.
The dinner lacked character in terms of not being Karoo lamb-the chicken + lamb curry was cold + not as enjoyable/tasty as expected.Breakfast rates should be included in normal rates + not charged separately.
