Comfortable bed, convenient location to town center, excellent breakfast. We appreciated the dinner recommendation!
The warm welcome, immaculate standard of cleanliness, pristine bed linen and snowy white towels. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully served. A super experience.
The location was superb. The contrast between the heat of the busy streets and the quiet sound of trickling water with the shade of the Verandah and Gardens was much appreciated. The owner, Bill could not have been more helpful and informative. We wish him luck!
The pool could have been heated!
The owner, Bill, could not have been more helpful. He sent us a list of restaurants with advice before we arrived and was very friendly during our stay. The rooms are simply and tastefully decorated. The pool is small but adequate, but the location makes Les Chambres outstanding. A couple of minutes from all the shops and restaurants. LA Petite Ferme 5 minutes up the road. No need to move your car.
Nothing to dislike !
Just a short stroll to all the main attractions and restaurants, yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of the best end of town. The rooms were clean and airy, the bed large and comfortable, the pool cool and refreshing and the breakfast delicious.
We enjoyed the spacey and comfortable rooms.Breakfast was really delicious
it's a shame to run such a beautiful guest house with no intention of being a ultimate host to your guests. The owner seems to be a very nice gentleman, but he doesn't show any genuine interest. He is just 'running the show'. His ladies are cranky and don't look very happy in what they are doing. This property deserves better....
location, property, room
The owner weirded us out. He wasn't very accommodating and we didn't feel comfortable. The bed was horridly uncomfortable. No television.
The location was the only thing we liked.
Excellent accommodation with beautiful gardens and pool. The rooms were delightful, large, clean and well decorated. Would definitely reccommend this accommodation.
For this price we expected a TV in the room. The reception as well as the later contact with the owner was sort of matter of fact. We expected the parking area to be more protected . Apart from the surveillance cameras we virtually parked in the street. To catch the possible perpetrators is second to avoid them from getting access to our vehicle.
Room as well as the private outside sitting area was very nice . The breakfast area as well as the breakfast itself was very good.
There is no option of a room with a TV with all available channels. The only avaiable TV is inside the main house and the doors are locked at night - which is understandable.
Excellent location and immaculate property
Setting garden quiet Breakfast superb complete Owner charming and welcoming respectful if our privacy Felt like being in someone private home without feeling too close
lovely and peaceful place, very friendly host, excellent breakfast
To go away!
Our room and a good place to relax near the pool. The breakfast is excellent. And it's a little walk to the center of Franschoek
Felt the reception was very rushed even though we stuck to the timeline given to us by the owner. We also did not feel very welcome in the communial lounge and decided to move to our own suit where we were disappointed that we did not have a tv or mini bar. We presumed that a guest house of that rating would have both.At breakfast we had a problem with the preparation and when inquired got a blunt answer. After that overall experience we decided to leave.
Great spot to walk into main street to enjoy the shops. Very close to lots of restaurants. Nice small pool to relax around with lovely comfy sun beds. nice private garden.
Location is excellent, close to the village and the wine train. Very comfortable accomodation, excellent breakfast.
Shower was very poor, no television
Shower - spurted everywhere so not great for washing hair Too light in room
Great bed and lovely bathroom with big bath Pool area fabulous
Maybe the air of the rooms are somewhat dependent on the AC or open windows to get fresh and ventilated, maybe the place had been closed during the winter period before we arrived. One of the rooms had had problems with damp damage and I don't think it should be used as long as there are evident spots on the wallpaper of this.
Wonderful garden, personal service, nice breakfast, large rooms with a large bath, though a small guesthouse.
There was nothing to not like!
- Accommodated us at the last minute without any fuss - Room was beautiful - Views and gardens were gorgeous - Breakfast was yummy
It all seemed a bit of an effort for the host.
Lovely big room, very comfortable night's sleep. Breakfast was delicious.
Reception could have been a bit friendlier although certainly not lacking in content or process
A pleasure to arrive at such a place as it delivers what one would expect from this region and town
The room smelled of oil-based paint.
Homely yet luxurious - will go back
