Score from 134 reviews Very good
For lunch/dinner 15 mins driving but this a consequence of the marvelleous location
Lovely place and beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was wonderful and a work of art.
Rough track to get to the property.
The location, the 360° view from the hotel, the floor heating in the bathroom, the shower outside (!), the private fireplace in your own room (it was cold at night, so we lit a fire = great!), walking in the vineyard, the ostriches around the building. The silence: very relaxing.
You pay for Wifi = rip-off. And: Wifi very poor, did almost not work. (but we were not charged for Wifi (we complained), so that was fair.
Lazing by the pool...drinks were served without asking! Room was made up while at breakfast. Top notch breakfast with all the trimmings.
Amorous and noisy couple next door at midnight...guys get some sleep!
The location of the guest house on a 600 hectare farm, with acres of olive groves speaks for itself. The view from the manor house is breathtaking and we could have spent a whole week there. The hosts, Eric and Myriam, are wonderfully charming and accommodating hosts. Our stay was all too short (2 nights) and we would love to go back.
Really symphatical owner and staff, who are really discreet. The outstanding location lies beautiful in front of the mountains, not far away from the route 62 (but absolutely quiet! You don't hear any noise!). The bedroom respectivaly the sleep was very quiet. The breakfast was extremly nice and tasty. Around the suites, there are a lot of hiking trails. The best location on our journey!!!
the fact that we did not have enough time to spend and explore
Excellent in all respects. Friendly hosts. Wonderful breakfasts. Lovely location and environment.
Outside shower and breakfast
The rooms were excellent as were the staff and views. Breakfasts were a work of art.
The breakfast is out of this world. The outside shower is fun and it's great to have underfloor heating in the bathroom. great to light a fire in the open fireplace in the room.
It is a pity that the patron does not cook dinner anymore.
- Very much recommended!! We loved everything about our stay here; including beautiful rooms, surroundings and pool - the owner was very helpful in helping us find our way around.
- There was no option for dinner there - though we would have loved to have it there as the breakfast was wonderful and the setting so lovely!
The surrounding is simply breathtaking.
Great walks on the property. Country feel. Staff caring but not overpowering and in your face. Great views. Breakfasts!
Would be great if they offered dinners as breakfast quality and presentation is wonderful.
Absolutely beautiful place; fantastic landscape; nice Walking trails within the hotel premises; breakfast was excelent, beautifully arranged.
Accommodation was spacious and with high quality furnishings. We really enjoyed the outdoor shower option. Breakfast was outstanding. The views across the country side were exquisite.
Lovely setting & views, excellent accommodation and wonderful breakfast
Low power light bulbs in bedside lights so dim one could not read in bed.
Fantastic location, lovely gardens and pool, beautifully furnished rooms, excellent food.
Every detail taken care of. Wonderful private. Spectacular views.
Everything was excellent!! So creative and well done. An inspiration for the eye and the soul. Thank you Montagu. We will come back!
Incredible setting, beautiful rooms
Ideal for a stopover if travelling. Good value for the comfort and this wonderful breakfast alone. Very very quiet and great for stargazing as there is no ambient light. Trails all around the 600 Hectare estate are perfect for working up an appetite before diner in town, recommended and booked by Eric.
Warm welcome and kind efficient service in a lovely environment.
