Close to shops and restaurants. Very clean. Very safe.
I got a room with lovely balcony, and it's so cool that had some drinks with friends there, watched the stars, plenty of stars during this season. The location is super, not at the busiest street by town centre, so it's quiet whenever you want to sleep. And it is likely between Stellenbosch University and town centre, 5 min walking distance to restaurants, and another 5 min walking to town centre, biggest shopping mall, bars, craft shops, etc. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they are so nice.
I didn't have proper self-catering facilities, but I ate out with friends all the time, it was not a big problem for me. But for those who really want to cook, it is better to ask when they make bookings
The friendly staff, especially Moses
Very nice place to stay. Close to everything.
The apartment we stayed in was directly above restaurants. Without us opening any doors or windows we could still smell sigaret smoke coming from somewhere. If that can be sorted, I would stay there again.
Sitting area and swimming pool during hot summer day
Late knight knocking on the door by drunk bypassers
Very private, and central to town .
These are probably the nicest people I have ever stayed with!
We liked the way the guest house is run and the staff. The crisp, cleanliness was superb, location and value was excellent! Breakfast was a pleasant experience. We highly recommend this guest house.
Great location within walking distance of the town centre. Loved the self catering unit, everything you could possibly need, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and loads of equipment. Lovely décor. Pool area very nice. Parking.
They did not know about our booking and the room was not ready.
We booked a one-room suite and got a studio for the same price - the studio is not set up for two people - for example, only one bedside table. We had no access to the facilities shown on the advert and sheets and towels not changed on the week-end.
We were surprised that our apartment was not near the guest house but in the town centre overlooking a busy street with restaurants. This added to the atmosphere and we enjoyed the experience. The apartment was well equipped, well maintained by the staff and adequate facilities for our 4 night stay.
Slight problem with noise in the arcade below on Friday night but it was the beginning of the wine festival week
clean and serviced air con
I did not enjoy stairs to bed or the wobbly stair rail. There was no one to give me the keys at 4pm when I said I would arrive. I had to wait for half an hour for the keys to arrive, then I wasn't shown around very carefully.
Nice well equiped apartment in the centre of town.
No ac in the bedrooms, which were very hot, had to sleep on the lounge sofa the first night. Had the lounge ac on all day trying to cool the bedrooms and still had to use a noisy fan during the night. Noise from near by night club until 2:00am.
Full Satellite service. Neat studio. Good location. Office staff helpful.
Only one towel for 2 people on first day. No shampoo or soap in bathroom. Studio is part of a student complex and isn't a guest house. Booked twin room, but got a queen bed only. Had to pay R250 for internet access.
DSTV, Air con.
Apartment looks like nothing in pictures. No elevator.(Stairs, so many stairs) Mosquitoes, Spiders,
The apartment was amazing, located close to everything even the gym. The modern furniture in the apartment was great. More importantly there was full satellite television channels which is very rare even in 5* sa hotels.
The apartment is close to all restaurants in the area however the staff at the restaurants are very racist and I speak for at least all of those that I visited, and I tried a lot of them. If you are black, the only place you will be treated with respect is at Cubana restaurant close to the mall. I was very disappointed as I thought the country has moved from all.of.that. Seems Stellenbosch hasn'T.
Proximity to Stellenbosch.
No washing machine, outdoor space had no furniture. Felt quite dark inside. Went on weekend so no room cleaning or laundry could be done for that time.Laundry services left a pair of jeans stained.
Tinny accommodation space, ideal for student accommodation and not for business traveller
The location was great
The entire service aspect of the business and owners was terrible. There were light bulbs burnt out, the toilet ran all night, there was a cracked wine glass on the counter, the freezer was so iced up that the door would not close properly and the "starter coffee supplies" left a lot to be desired. I will not recommend this property to anyone I know.
