A delightful small hotel in a safe part of Rondebosch, Cape Town. Excellent breakfast. Security is good. Very convenient for the University, which is just up the hill. Also close to Rondebosch station for the Metro train that runs between Cape Town and, with stunning views of the ocean, all the way to Simons Town near the biodiversity-rich Cape of Good Hope, Scarborough and many other villages on the oceans that are much frequented by whales and penguins… and surfers! Highly recommended.
Polite personal, quiet, clean, GREAT breakfast, safe
Really nice big cottages, and a good breakfast. Lot of parking space for your own vehicle.
They need to improve the quality of internet (wifi)
-very kind staff with hospitality -nice breakfast with many varieties -every corner is a piece of art
-housekeeping is not that clean -linens are most of the time are full of spot -towels ( I never used) are not as clean as for a standard of 3 stars. -week internet coverage
comfortable stay nice staff with good communication, listening and considerations for customer needs
houskeeping and cleaning of rooms, towels are most of the time full of spots. the linen was not too clean as well.
everything was so clean and the staff very friendly. nothing was too much for them and smiling all the time. breakfast was fantastic. we will defiantly stay again.
very friendly staff
towels didn't smell nice
Location, being close to everything!!!!
This is my third visit and it never fails to disappoint me. It's area is convenient as shops are within walking distance.
Proximity to UCT Friendliness and flexibility of staff Breakfast Professionally run
Lumpy pillows No duvet
A great place to stay.
Location, location, location! Close to UCT.
Breakfast and little bags of sweets and nuts in the room
Staff on front desk very rude & abrupt. Rooms small and car parking spaces tight
The breakfasts. The central location. Tea/coffee station in the room. Wi-fi / internet coverage through-out. Secure parking.
Clean towels only on the 4th day. No view. Overlooked another room. Room was a little dark. No chair & table outside my room. TV old.
The location is great if you need to be near UCT. The parking area was a nice surprise since it was convenient, safe, and on-site. My room was clean and spacious and the surrounding landscaping thoughtfully designed.
LSGH is an oasis in an area convenient to UCT. Wonderful staff, delicious breakfast, beautiful and clean rooms with television and wireless. A fantastic value too.
clean rooms, good location, safe
unfriendly stuff, more like a hotel than a B&B, rooms are useful furnished but not cosy
Very convenient and welcoming
The breakfast staff was providing extra cutlery on the table and handled items from the eating side.
Exceptional staff. Hats off to the night receptionist and the owner's daughter. Best staff ever. Really cozy garden.
In the suburbs of the city but still within reach.
The staff were professional and nice. The place looks really good, and Rondesbosch may not be in the city, but it's a nice little place with much great food around it. it's near the train station. And in general the place just feels like a great spot.
The walls are comically thin, I could hear everything in the other rooms.
The proximity to University and shops. Fantastic cooked breakfast. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Really would be a good idea to cover the fruit and yoghurt at breakfast. Other than that it was a super place to stay
Proximity to the university Privacy in the rooms
Options of tv channels is limited for non-sports people
Good for business travellers needing to be in Rondebosch area
Good breakfast, spacious rooms, nice to have a pool, I appreciate the availability of a hospitality bar. Everything worked just fine and no problems of any sort.
A little too large. I prefer guest houses with fewer rooms. Here there was always new staff and new guests. Rather hard beds with hard and thick pillows, but this is very common in South Africa.
