No warm water and the drain was blocked.
The view is awesome and the receptionist was friendly and very helpful. The place has alot of potential.
The breakfast. The coutch in the room were dirty.
Our impression: staff was poorly trained and unprofessional. Room was very dusty. Lodge generally very neglected. The spa was closed (and we were not informed). Breakfast was really bad (limited selection and poor quality). However on the day we left it appeared that new management arrived - if they clean the place up, do some repairs and train the staff properly the lodge will be a great destination in Wilderness
Very nice view and lovely location with good potential.
The room was confortable but rather dirty, what ruined the overall impression. The current manager is still young and needs to collect more experience. Real quality starts with details, not with special effects!
The infinite pool and the view over parts of Wilderness.
The Lodge on the Lake looks good on the outside, but was not managed or taken care for when we were there. The spa was not existing, because the staff left due to bad management. The breakfast was very poor and the jam 2 years (!) over date! In the afternoons and evenings, nobody was in the guesthouse and most parts of the lights switched off, but the doors wide open the whole time which let us feel really unsafe and unpleasant in our rooms. Parts of the outside electricity were not working, but also did not get repaired for weeks (according to the manager). The cleanliness of rooms and pool facilities was very poor - dust on the floor of the rooms and dirt everywhere around the pool. As far as we found out, the manager was left alone by the owners and had to do the reception, calls, checkin/out and kitchen all by himself which had an impact on the quality. I would not come again to this property and not recommend it to anyone.
The view from the balcony is great and the underlying facade is good.
The room was very dirty Staff seemed out of their depth The plumbing was terrible despite being something the management are aware of It was very poor value for money

Night birds are too noisy
We loved the personal attention from the manager Rory. The room was spacious with an incredible view (as advertised). Breakfast was freshly made by the manager himself and was a really superb start to the day. Definitely a place I would highly recommend for anyone looking for peace and tranquility with a personal touch.
We stayed at Lodge on the Lake for one night with my kids. The rooms are beautifully decorated, relaxing and have a very romantic touch. I would recommend the Lodge to my friends. There is a busy road nearby but you can hear really nothing in the House. All in all a stunning place. We will definitely be back.
Nothing at all!!
The service from the staff was wonderful and they were there is assist in every way
A more comfortable lounge/ relaxing area would have been great.
Good breakfast, friendly staff and very peaceful area with great views from the room.
The lodge seemed a little abandoned as there wasn't anyone at the reception at night.
Myself and my wife enjoyed our honey moon @ lodge on the lake for 5 nights. Rory and the team were outstanding. Always carefull to all details of the business and always ensuring that the guests Were looked after. A great experience and definately a great holiday destination. We will spread the word among our family and friends about this great destination that is lodge on the lake. Rory keep up the great work and we will see you soon.
