What an excellent and lovely guest lodge. Perfect for me and it was my home for 10 days. Great host, great breakfast, great room, great pool. Highly recommended.
Difficult to find first time
Frank was a great host Nice pool for relaxing Comfortable room Good location
Accommodation was very clean and breakfast was really nice. We had the smallest standard room which was on the small side, but we knew this when we booked so no complaints there. It was perfectly adequate and just a few steps from a lovely small pool. Owner Frank made us very welcome and was extremely helpful with advice and guidance. There was a friendly and informal feel to the place throughout our stay. The location is just a short walk down onto Sea Point Promenade and an even shorter walk to the restaurants and shops in Sea Point. Getting into Cape Town is easy from here either by Tour Bus, MyCiti bus or taxi. We would have no hesitation in booking Loloho again.
The owners are great hosts. The place is very clean and welcoming. Breakfast is perfect and plenty of choice. The rooms are great and everything is provided. A great stay and definitely will stay again.
The sound of the tumble dryer near our room. Otherwise it was an enjoyable experience.
The Hibiscus trees around the pool. We enjoyed meeting people from all over world at breakfast!
Nothing. We used the lodge for sleeping and breakfast and we're out all day.
Frank's very friendly and helpful. The room's were spotless and breakfast was plenty. Sea Point promenade is just a a block away and the neighbourhood feels very safe. We took Uber taxi's to go out at night and drove our rental car during the day.
My stay was too short...
Very friendly caring helpful owners that made this my absolute best stay in South Africa! Good advice in regards to general safety as a single traveler and great recommendations on tours/excursions + making arrangements. Good comfortable clean rooms. Excellent location: - I felt very relaxed and safe at Loloho Lodge. Just a very short safe walk to Main rd, where after dark I still could easily go out to grab a bite/take away or do grocery shopping. - Great location for day trips by car to explore Cape Town and surroundings. No city center traffic and immediate access to main roads to many directions. - Secured parking on site. Love to be back!! Thank you Frank, Simon and Puma :-)
Being shouted at on day 7 of my 12 day stay by one of the owners because I wanted to use the toilet in my room while he was cleaning. He went on to shout more about how the day before I had "slept in til 1" and had dared to ask for my room to still be cleaned that day. I was berated for not reading the manual explaining cleaning was only til midday. When I asked him not to shout at me he started whispering at me like I was an idiot. The rest of my stay I was tense and upset, it was like being on egg shells. Also on first day the other owner said I could let them know if I wanted an alternative to breakfast options as my stay was a long one. When the day after this I asked if I could have beef sausage instead of bacon, which I don't eat, I was basically told no.
The Loloho owners are very attentive to make their guests comfortable. There is a warm and cheerful atmosphere. Lovely modern and clean rooms. Safe and convenient parking on the premises. Delicious breakfasts! Overall very much to be recommended!
