The house and garden were beautiful and very relaxing. Was very comfortable to invite friends for drinks and business people for a meeting. Honesty bar was very reasonable. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was reasonable. There was no A/C in the rooms and got uncomfortably hot at night. Parking was a nightmare as we got parked in often and security staff were unable to move cars. The carpets in our room were very dirty. My son messed on the carpet and after trying to clean the mess, the carpets were cleaner on that spot than anywhere else. The curtains we also very dirty and dusty.

Wonderful and comfortable, loved the bath, and overall ambience very nice, we enjoyed it. I DID NOT LIKE that I could not find the GATE to enter. There is no sign above that entrance and so had to go around the back, then try the front entrance, nobody was there as the gate had been switched off because of a thunder storm, so I had to wait and call etc. Mostly there is no sign about the gate next to the neigbours Beverley something so I could not see where to enter.

Nice place to stay. People very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean and furbished with great attention to details. Spacious bathroom. Price vs quality - very high No air conditioning so in summer quite hot. Fans were provided and in the end the week I was there was OK (end Nov.). I assume quite hot in Dec/Jan.

Lourie Lodge is a top quality place to stay in Fourways. Superior rooms all in African style, friendly staff and a nice swimming pool with lounge chairs. There was nothing not to like at the lodge.

This was our second stay at Loerie Lodge, motivated by the excellent service we received first time round. It's an awesome Lodge with great owners and staff. I will never stay anywhere else when in Joburg.

Well located in JHB Underfloor heating in room did not work. Wifi could not connect and staff did not know how to reboot router, in fact were looking at wrong router.

Well located. Good housekeeping in general although some days they forgot to clean the bathroom properly. Good value for money. Great security and very helpful security staff too. I felt the management were a bit remote - cordial but distant and were not very visible during the time I was there. A bit of genuine charm would be nice. The fax is linked to the computer which proved to be somewhat troublesome when trying to have faxes received - I think the fax was not communicating properly with the computer. The lady who made breakfast on the day I left - 5 April - was very off and took a great deal of time to prepare breakfast for two despite having advised by 9.00am that morning that I would like a late breakfast for two at 10.30am - I only had breakfast once prior to this during my entire stay - I even offered a tip in view of the late breakfast but she was still off, unhelpful and took her time. I was very unimpressed with her.
