Staff was young and energetic.

Like a self catering holiday.

Stian who works there, was a absolute pleasure, he is a real credit to the company. The main house is amazing, the beautiful pool and BBQ area were just incredible. You couldn't get a better view. Def coming back and great value for money.

The staff was exceptional and the place is absolutely stunning. Apart from the bathroom the rooms are cosy and comfortable (and well equipped). The atmosphere is relaxed which we enjoyed very much. Also the public bathroom had individual little towels rolled up an thus you get a clean towel every time.

We stayed in the Paarl room. The bathroom is not practical at all. The toilet is right opposite the eating table and the shower needs a door and a fixed shower head. The water pressure drops and increases and then the water spray goes haywire all over the place and sprays everything (right into the kitchen).

The staff was young, dynamic, very acessible and willing to please. Great team. The wines are excellent, and the location is ideally central to Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franshoek, so lots of eating and visiting options.

What is advertised is a bit misleading by focusing most of the images around the manor house, and what eventually one ends up getting, are two very different things. However, the accomodation itself is quite good and confortable but lacking any kind of decent view out of the window.

My main issue was not with Marianne Wine Estate but with Booking.com This company screwed up my reservation. Not only did they not confirm my stay (although i had e-mail to show that it was confirmed), they also said that I cancelled the reservation. Which I did not. If that wasn't all, they even overcharged me for my stay. Fortunately the staff of Marianne Estate found this error and has tried to correct it by refunding the money. While I would gladly stay at Marianne again and would highly recommend them, I will never user booking.com and will let others know to avoid this company

Convenience for Stellenbosch and surrounding towns and countryside. Quiet rooms.

The restaurant was not open for dinner on an evening.

no views from windows only rooftop.Style of decor ,rustic, did not really work. WiFi in room did not work and using "office" wifi not convenient at all times.Fittings in room was inadequate. Water system was extremely noisy. Expectations were greater from web site than were found.

the staff is very friendly and the apartments nice! they organised as a wine tasting tour with Annett as a wonderfull guide, this was a great experience!!

the location is a bit special. You definatly need a car for every action you would like to make. No possibility to have dinner at the place, but the staff is extremly helpfull to give advise and information!

Lovely vineyard, nice large manor house, delicious breakfasts and wonderful management. The staff was extremely helpful providing to our every need. They offered advice and information on area winery visits, restaurants, and best travel routes to take to see the most during our brief stay. We felt lucky to have found such a great place to stay in the wine country of South Africa.

The estate was very peaceful and quiet, far from the main road. The decor in the chalet I stayed in was beautiful. I had to leave before the restaurant opened every morning, and so a very healthy breakfast was prepared and left in the fridge every evening.

The chalet I stayed in had beautiful wooden floors that the cleaners neglected to sweep.

The welcome and professionalism of the staff matched the quaility of the wine!

I really loved my stay here. It was a last minute, impulse stay but I'm so glad I discovered this place. The setting is magical and the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome and to show me around. The flagship wine is absolutely awesome and anyone staying their should try it.

I honestly can't think of any criticism towards Marianne. The staff is accommodating and friendly and in my view, whatever isn't right, can be put right with this attitude. I had an issue with my key getting stuck and Alex, the owner/manager was there within seconds. It's Winter in the Cape and it's rain season. Plan activities carefully to allow for both indoor and outdoor excursions !

The wine country itself.

It was the down season, so much of what we expected was not available. It think there are better value in the same region. I would recommend durning the season, but not out of season.

Restful, peaceful setting perfect for an escape from the hectic city life. Staff was amazing and made every effort to make our stay enjoyable!
