The complimentary wine tasting, the beautiful scenery and grounds, the spacious room and bathroom and the tasty breakfast
The estate is beautiful! The wine and breakfast was excellent! Really great value for money! I will recommend Marianne Wine Estate to everyone and will return when we visit the Cape again.
Super Service. Lovely Room. Good Food. Overall, a very delightful stay at Marrianne Wine Estate. Their wines are super and the tasting was an enjoyable, relaxed time on the terrace - simply wonderful. We'll be back!
staff on arrival was nice.
Don't trust the photos you see on booking sites, you'll get disappointed on arrival. Maintenance is a big issue.. smelly rooms and pool dirty .
We were so lucky to stay in the Master Suite at this beautiful winery. Semi outdoor shower overlooking vines with a full bath in the room alongside. A full walk-in wardrobe and a large bedroom Tastefully decorated in an African style. Everything about our room and the downstairs lounge and kitchen areas was excellent and we would recommend this accommodation to anyone travelling to Stellenbosch.
There was nothing that we did not like.
Marianne Wine Estate is absolutely gorgeouus.... from the farm views, the great wine, the friendly staff, the wonderful breakfast..... to the modern lovely loft we stayed in... a really remarkable visit. PERFECTION!
Nothing.... loved EVERYTHING!
People, Great Wine, excellent stay!
We were treated like royalty. The estate is breathtakingly gorgeous, our room was nothing short of luxury, the breakfast was perfection on a plate (yes, we ate too much), and the complementary wine tasting was the cherry on top. The wine itself was the best we tasted in Stellenbosch, and we walked away with several bottles....
There was nothing not to like.
Fabulous! Very nice view, nice rooms and friendly staff! We would definitely stay there again!
We stayed 2 nights and wish it had been longer. The setting is beautiful--right in the middle of the vineyard. The breakfast was great, and the staff is helpful, even giving us restaurant recommendations that were on the mark. Our loft room was spacious, and the bathroom was luxurious. The free wine tasting was excellent and informative.
Good position. Complimentary wine tasting. Tranquility. Manor house decor.
No TV in room. No fridge in room. No chairs in room No view from room. Service slow at breakfast. Unsafe access to toilet. No grab bars in shower.
Small things were forgotten (empting out the dustbins)
The staff were very friendly
Absolutely beautiful! Amazing location, excellent wine. Friendly and extremely helpful staff.
The setting is breathtakingly beautiful. The rooms were comfortable, clean and very well equipped.
On arrival, crossing a main road with on-coming traffic was a rather risky!!
Overnight facility Breakfast Atmosphere
No support or help when you have to offload baggag
Under-floor heating. Special arrangements were made to accommodate us arriving late. The Main manor was lovely and kitted with a full living home, with a pool, and a pool table, beautiful setting. Breakfast was good.
No shower in the room I stayed in No restaurants close by for dinner (20 min away in Stellenbosch)
Loved the tasting area and deck with the sun setting over the vineyards Loved the misty mornings in the breakfast area The Manor House is unique and cosy
The restaurant was not open so had to go into Stellies for a meal in the evening
It was a beautiful estate and the room was converted to a high standard. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The room felt sumptuous and expensive. The staff were very attentive the next day during breakfast and we did not feel rushed at all. It also came with a complementary wine tasting (which unfortunately we were unaware of and thus hadn't factored into our plans). Overall, great value for money, and would definitely return during the warmer months.
There were no supplies in the event of us wanting to have our own meal in the room (no cutlery, crockery), no wine glasses, etc. The staff left soon after we arrived, so we did not have the opportunity to ask for any extras. The room was extremely cold on arrival - it would have been nice if the heating had been switched on before our arrival. Also, due to the cold, we had to have the heater on all night, which meant for a bad night's sleep. It might be worth investing in an electric blanket and also heating for the bathroom, which remained very cold.
The estate is beautiful and located between other wine estates. The bathrooms are stunning and the loft rooms are really nice and spacious. Breakfast was good ans staff friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We arrived a bit early and were treated to a fantastic wine tasting while we waited :-)
Would have been nice to be able to have dinner on the premises (although we were advised that this is not available in advance). Some glasses in the room would also have been great and the walls seemed a little thin. But overall a really great experience :-)
Lovely setting on farm Quiet and peaceful Friendly and efficient staff Free wine tasting - excellent wines Great tasty breakfast menu
Room extremely cold - only had 'Air Conditioner' to heat room - too noisy to sleep with - and disturbs quiet of being on wine farm No floor mats in front of bed to get out of bed onto cold floor Window leaked during rain Front door to room and window very difficult or open and close due to swelling from rain - sign of poor maintenance? Breakfast - kitchen staff was on two mornings unable to make an 'easy over' fried egg with the yolk soft.
The general ambience, the comfortable and aesthetically pleasing accommodation. The complimentary wine tasting was an added bonus and the staff were all very pleasant and competent.
Wow, everything was lovely. The bath tubs, breakfast (the best so far in our three weeks holiday in South Afica), the fire place, the rooms, all the staff (Thank you Rhoda for a great stay you are a juwel and an excellent host and Maria for the make up of our room and washing of our laundry (It smells great). We booked for one night and stayed for two, if we weren't on a tight scedule we would have stayed longer. We will see you next year for sure and the years after.
The owner's cat and Heidi, I wasn't allowed to take them with me. I am not a animal person, but they were the best behaved animals, I've seen in a long time. I guess they are happy to be surrounded by such amazing people and surroundings. Your stars needs to be upgraded. You deserve a 5Star. Thank you for great memories.
Lovely clean spacious room and huge bathroom. We were pleased with our choice. Sadly it was raining so we couldn't wander around.
