In the middle of the rolling Stellenbosch hills, at the foot of a quiet dam, this 5-star hotel offers stunning views of the surrounding vineyards and mountains.

Nestled in the scenic Banhoek Valley, Zorgvliet features an outdoor pool with views of the Simonsberg Mountain. It offers wine-tastings and barrel sampling in the modern wine cellar.

Close to historic central Stellenbosch and just across the road from the Stellenbosch University, Rustenbosch Guesthouse provides a comfortable base from which to explore the Cape region and nearby...
Score from 101 reviews Very good
Extremely friendly service from check in to check out, nice wines, modern rooms, some with a small deck. Perfect view and very quiet, still close to a lot of other wine farms in the area.
Loved the views, the pool, the interior design, breakfast was amazing, people were lovely.
Needed better Wifi.
Huge living room and very spacious bathroom. Modern African styling.
Some noise from the wine cellar cooling unit
The room is beautiful, spacious and incredibly comfortable. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is delicious. Gorgeous views over the winery
Quite expensive compared to other places, but it is quite upmarket so to be expected. Wifi is limited (none in the rooms). Quite a drive to restaurants you may want to eat at (make sure you ask them to pre-book for you, the good ones are hard to get into)
I liked the level of privacy
The loft was great and very good breakfast. We definately will book again the next time we are going to SA!
A very good, well-kept and luxury accomodation. Modern and with a beautifull bathroom. Nice wines (a talented somelier) and excellent cheese and biltong. As a guest and as a visitor you can walk around the property which is AMAZING!!
It's very hot under the roof in the lofts. The staff is young and sometimes less aware of hospitality-standards.
Inclusive wine tasting with biltong platter
We stayed in the pool house next to a wonderful swimming pool and billiard ! It's a very quiet place in the vineyards and it's beautiful. It's about 15 minutes of Stellenbosch.
The stay was great, but the breakfast was below par.The eggs were not fryed properly and i had to send them back. There was no alternative option if you dont eat pig.i.e beef sausages. The buffet spread did not have certain foods covered that should have been. There was a limited variety of stuff to choose from. when i sat down i expectes to get serves tea or coffee but it was all self service.I paid a lot per night and i expected all of these things at brekfast. In my opinion these small things are what determine whethet people are willing to pay such a high price to come back
The complimentary wine tasting, the beautiful scenery and grounds, the spacious room and bathroom and the tasty breakfast
The estate is beautiful! The wine and breakfast was excellent! Really great value for money! I will recommend Marianne Wine Estate to everyone and will return when we visit the Cape again.
Super Service. Lovely Room. Good Food. Overall, a very delightful stay at Marrianne Wine Estate. Their wines are super and the tasting was an enjoyable, relaxed time on the terrace - simply wonderful. We'll be back!
staff on arrival was nice.
Don't trust the photos you see on booking sites, you'll get disappointed on arrival. Maintenance is a big issue.. smelly rooms and pool dirty .
We were so lucky to stay in the Master Suite at this beautiful winery. Semi outdoor shower overlooking vines with a full bath in the room alongside. A full walk-in wardrobe and a large bedroom Tastefully decorated in an African style. Everything about our room and the downstairs lounge and kitchen areas was excellent and we would recommend this accommodation to anyone travelling to Stellenbosch.
There was nothing that we did not like.
Marianne Wine Estate is absolutely gorgeouus.... from the farm views, the great wine, the friendly staff, the wonderful breakfast..... to the modern lovely loft we stayed in... a really remarkable visit. PERFECTION!
Nothing.... loved EVERYTHING!
People, Great Wine, excellent stay!
We were treated like royalty. The estate is breathtakingly gorgeous, our room was nothing short of luxury, the breakfast was perfection on a plate (yes, we ate too much), and the complementary wine tasting was the cherry on top. The wine itself was the best we tasted in Stellenbosch, and we walked away with several bottles....
There was nothing not to like.
Fabulous! Very nice view, nice rooms and friendly staff! We would definitely stay there again!
We stayed 2 nights and wish it had been longer. The setting is beautiful--right in the middle of the vineyard. The breakfast was great, and the staff is helpful, even giving us restaurant recommendations that were on the mark. Our loft room was spacious, and the bathroom was luxurious. The free wine tasting was excellent and informative.
Good position. Complimentary wine tasting. Tranquility. Manor house decor.
No TV in room. No fridge in room. No chairs in room No view from room. Service slow at breakfast. Unsafe access to toilet. No grab bars in shower.
Small things were forgotten (empting out the dustbins)
The staff were very friendly
